I guess thats just London. For the price that buys you small palace elsewhere else you will get tiny room with no wifi inside, window that cannot be opened, where private twin room will get you bunk bed (which is not comfortable at all and squeak a lot) and you don't even get that basic toast and jam.
Great place, it feels more like boutique hotel than hostel. Nothing to complain about.
Good hostel is defined by great location near all main sights (check), friendly and helpful staff (check), is clean and have comfortable beds (check), but there is much more in this place than those things. Mix of staff, their local friends, long term visitors and fellow travellers made me to experience Tbilisi and local culture in way only long term residents could. Be ready to overstay for some time.
Nice little hostel. Little bit basic, but clean. The staff is nice, location perfect.
Great hostel close to the train and bus stations. Staff is really great as well.
Hostel is just in city centre, just inside of Old Town, which makes it great base for exploring and enjoying the city. Staff is great and will help you with everything you need. Overall great place to stay.
The location is perfect and hostel is clean. The staff might not be very friendly or knowledgable, but they always tried their best. There is just one toilet and bathroom, which might cause problems when the hostel is full (16 ppl).
Nice hostel close to the city centre of Brasov. Staff is helpful and beds comfortable.
Hostel Transylvania is great. Staff, atmosphere or location is just perfect. It is kind of small which makes it perfect for just chilling out and meeting other travellers.
It is nice, clean hostel in great location. My second stay at this place and I am not sure my last.
The place is ok in excellent location. Dont expect any character at all, just place to sleep and base for your trips around London. The place might get NOISY during weekends so bring your earplugs (or ask reception for free pair).
This place is just amazing. Considerable small to know all ppl easily, well run, clean (I really mean CLEAN), free events every afternoon, staff is great and place feels so luxurious for being "just" hostel, heck they even make your bed every day. If they have free bed, dont look any longer.
It is solid hostel, nothing exceptional, but good choice. Just two things: there are no lockers in room and they make you wear that awful paper wristband for some "security" reasons for whole your stay.
Staff and owner are very nice and there is free breakfast. Taxi drivers usually do not know this place so be prepared for some wandering around. The place is very basic, forget hot water, proper window or toilet seat. Otherwise the place is clean and good enough for overnight stay.
It is more like hotel/hostel hybrid with majority of rooms being private, so it might be quite hard to meet other travellers from time to time. Other than that the place is amazing, it was open just few months ago so everything feels new, facilities are superb and staff is very nice. You also get free breakfast as well.
Nice little hostel. Nothing to complain about, just lockers are missing.
Nice hostel. English speaking staff, good location and clean premises. Just wifi is very unreliable, especially during "peak" hours.
The place is really basic: toilet is western style but with manual flush, I was not even ableto find sink and my room dont even have window and door was half broken. Despite run down state the place is clean and were nice. It is ok place for short layover.
Brand new hostel. It is located a bit outside of touristy area but the neighbourhood is very nice and there is a lot of stuff going on all the time, the staff is more than happy to tell you about good places. The hostel is very clean and have huge well stocked kitchen. Cant recommend this place enough.
Well run bed factory with predictable level of service, good if you are group or maybe couple, not very good for solo travelers as there is no place to meet others, except of open to public bar downstairs. Internet is available only at the bar, cmon it is 2012, even cheap guesthouses in the middle of Cambodia offer it nowadays.
The place is quite ok, the price is quite high for Czech Republic, but there are very few other options in this city so you have no choice. The room are spacious and clean. The breakfast is better than traditional toast and jam. There are no window blinds so the room is really really bright in the morning, there are also too much noise coming from the coffee shop downstairs so you will not be able to sleep long. They should also invest little money for better pillows, current sux big time.
It is decent place, but nothing special. Receptionist was nice and helpful, but she keep being in her room all days longs so it feels like you disturbing her when you need something. The cleanliness is another problem, the floors are more or less clean, but when you look in bathroom around the sink you find a tons of rat excrements. In conclusion: the hostel feels laid back, but also very amateurish for price you have to pay.
Typical big bed factory. Everything is well run, but very anonymous and lacking any character, not really good place to meet people. Superb showers, especially if you get a bit sick of all those wet toilets around asia. Internet is rather unreliable and you have to keep typing some random username and password.
Good hostel to stay few days while visiting this city, located just few minutes close to Pub Street. Nothing much to write about: good enough service, good price and they also have their own tuk tuk drivers to get around temples and such.
I stayed here for five days, three in the dorm and then private room. Hostel is located in fairly posh area of Phnom Penh, which is safe and provide many bars and restaurant nearby. Hostel dorm rooms are very basic, but the beds are quite wide, private rooms are very nice. Internet is blazing fast and rock solid all day. Best part of this hostel is the staff which is super nice and helpful. Dont miss the restaurant, it is quite pricey but the food is superb.
This place is become kind of my home. I spent 30 nights during few visits past two months. The place is everything you can expect from hostel: clean, comfortable, well run with more then helpful staff. The only downside is that you get so spoiled to enjoy staying in other hostels. During many years of my travel I slept in lots and lots of places, but this is one of my favorite.
Plan to stay 2 nights, stayed 5. It is really nice place to just chill out and do nothing. Rooms are basic, but nothing to complain about. The best thing is there is some cake/cookies/tart all day provided for free. I stayed in 3 bedroom dorm and it can get very noisy in the morning, due to the street close by.
The staff is really super nice and the location is good. The rooms are very small, cramped with beds, but this is something you have to expect in Singapore. I am not big fan of wet toilets (shower and toilet next to each other in one small room) as well, but it is quite norm in this part of world.
I stayed in six bedroom dorm. The room was very small and there was just one timy window. Beds are confy and hostel is clean. Dont expect much more from it thought, there are no common room (except of cafeteria downstairs) so everybody just hang out intheir rooms.
Hostel is really clean and staff super helpfull. Facilities new, beds big and confy, place was keep quiet for five days I spent there, party goers flick anywhere else. Location is good as well: close to bus station and public trains. Only thing is AC in rooms: it is too cold during night for me.
Well run, professional hostel. Forget atmosphere and friendliest of small backpackers hostel.
I must visited more than 10 hostels in London for past few years and Joy Hostel is one of the best. Location is not that good and is pricey, but is worth it. Consider other hostel in London this is not just anonymous bed factory, it is quiet and you will get soft drink (or coffee, tea) for free.
Don't expect any character or atmosphere, just typical London big and anonymous hostel, kind of factory for beds. On the other side is run professionally and have good location for fair price.
We stay just for one night, arriving late and leaving really early to catch our flight and we both regret not staying longer. Hostel is quite far away from city center, but other than that I cannot find nothing else to complain. Hostel is very new and very clean, beds are comfy and staff are great. Don't miss your chance to stay here.
To quote Jasmina ''we don't have jacuzzi, but we have big hearts''. Hostel is very basic, but very clean and quite close to the bus/train station. Really good deal for given price.
Majdas hostel is more home than your usual hostel. At first we plan to spent 2 night, but stayed for 4 instead, it happen quite often there. Be ready to be treated with delicious breakfast every morning (forget all those toasts with jam) and with soup/cake/ice tea during some afternoons. The Tour is another highlight of the stay, make sure you don't miss it.
Staff try to make this hostel really good, but they are still quite amateurish. It is good place for decent price, but be ready to find some roadblock. Do NOT buy the launch from the hostel. It costs 5EUR meat menu or 7EUR fish menu. I don't recommend 10 bed dorm room: the room is also use as luggage storage so you will be disturbed all the time by people coming in and out and is also used as a laundry room and staff make laundry even around midnight.
Hostel is ok. Good location near city center. Nothing much to say, average hostel for good price.
Hostel was allright: good breakfast: vegetables, salami, cereals, bread.. "free" dinner (simple pasta) and good location. Be aware booking private rooms: they are not located in the hostel itself.
It is more like factory for bed with bar then real hostel. It is big and anonymous. I would say typical hostel in London, well and professionally run, but forget character and typical hostel vibe.
My favorite hostel in BA, stayed there for more than 10 days this March. I met a lot of great people there (not big party goers, mostly 30+ years). Can't recommend more.
Good hostel, helpful but maybe too easygoing staff and good location in the city.
My favorite hostel in BA. I stay there for about 12 days during my 3 stays. Good central location and fabulous view from huge terrace.
Oasis in the middle of nowhere. It is little bit off the track in the tranquil nature. I have hard time to leave, laying down in hammock, reading or just walking around the nature. There is also river outside the river, so you can swim if you don't mind cold water. Lots of interesting things to do around.
Good choice for Bariloche, maybe little bit too big and anonymous, but I would stay in this hostel again.
This hostel was highlight of my trip in Argentina. Gaston, the owner, is incredible host, as a former tour guide knows a lot around things to do around and will arrange anything you want for you.
The hostel is not bad, but just average. Best thing is location close the beach. Be ready to meet mostly local people.
Great hostel in central part of Buenos Aires, close to parliament, good restaurants and main city attraction, but not as good spot for party/music/club locations: you will have to take taxi. Hostel is clean and have fabulous terrace.
