Sihome Backpackers Hostel

I'm giving them a good grade but there is one major downside to this hostel and it's the beds. They are hard as rock. If you need a soft mattress to sleep, stay away. Otherwise, it's an awesome hostel and I definitely recommend it.

Can't beat the location. Atmosphere was a bit boring (I think the hostel is just too large to feel like a small community). bathrooms/showers could use an upgrade, but are still serviceable.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Dear Customer, Thank you for the feedback, it is important to us that we receive comments from our customers so we can improve on things. I note that you felt the atmosphere was not very lively. We have introduced our winning wheel as one of the highlights at check in, where everyone is a winner!!. Globe bar and Darby bar are perfect place for backpackers to mingle too. We are currently upgrading all our showers and bathroom facilities in the building to provide better service. Thank you

Bamboo Beach

Bamboo is the best hostel I've been to. It's all about the staff. They are so friendly it's contagious and every guest just wants to be friends with everybody else. The staff will also do their very best to fix any problem that pops up (and they do pop up; it's Fiji). The atmosphere is so great, people from other hostels come to bamboo to hang out. Plenty of day trips or longer expeditions, too. Bamboo is the best stop in Fiji.

Reykjavik Backpackers

Backpacking hostel so they charge extra for linen rental if you don't bring your own backpack. That's the only thing you should know. Otherwise, everything is awesome: friendly and helpful staff, bar inside the hostel (closes early for quiet time), cheap BBQ most evenings, climbing wall outside... If you're bored at Reykjavik Backpackers, it's your own damn fault, not theirs.
