Odyssee Globetrotter Hostel

This hostel was perfect for a lone traveller such as myself - really easy to meet people in the bar area. I was on a research trip and during the day the extended bar area was good for working in too. The rooms were basic but clean and the bathrooms were also the same. Really great atmosphere in this hostel - and the 3€ breakfast was also good.

Bit difficult to find, especially as it has changed its name! First room we were given was not great, there was smashed glass on the floor and a hairball on the wall in the bathroom. We were moved to a much bigger room with twin beds but not after a bit of a fight. A word of warning - if you're going to provide rooms that are really substandard (smashed glass for God's sake!) then that's YOUR fault. Not ours.

A really good hostel for whatever you might need. When my friend and I were there we were more wanting to go out at night etc, but the hostel also catered for families (we noticed a few children in the garden on occasion). All in all a great hostel (very clean, quiet when you needed it, staff knew where to go/what to see) and would definitely stay there again.

Hostel One Prague

This was a good hostel for young people like us, with places where you can watch films etc. The rooms were really nice, we were staying in a 10 bed on the top floor, and we barely noticed anyone else in there! We did feel the bar wasn't particularly buzzing, but we did meet up with friends to go on the bar crawl which was a right laugh. Otherwise, the hostel is really clean and has spacious rooms. The location was alright, a little out of the way, but everything is still accessible by tram.

We stayed in the 40-bed room for two nights here in Munich, which was actually not as bad as we had imagined! The beds are pretty much put into compartments of 10 beds, and we were right at the other end to the door so people weren't coming past us all night. The bar is good here, a little expensive, but we did go to the bar in the hostel next door which was cheaper and had more character! The bathrooms aren't that great in the 40-bed, but they're good enough.

This was when we stayed one night in a 4 bed room. The room was nice, we happened to be sharing with a couple of lads, but spacious enough for us to have our own space etc. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The location of the hostel was a little bit dodgy, but it's near enough to the train station and the centre to walk to. We didn't really interact with the staff that much and the check out was a bit slow (we had a to catch a train very soon afterwards!). Good hostel in general.

Traveller's Haven

This was a fantastic hostel for chilling out and doing activities nearby. The hostel itself is ridiculously clean and very attractive, great kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms were also very nice. We did go out one night but the town of Bled isn't really built for it! There were bikes freely available, and we used them to go to the gorge. This hostel was good for relaxing but not so much for partying, as the neighbours needed quiet after a certain time. Overall, though, a great hostel.

Really enjoyed our stay in Alibi, it was very clean, quiet, nice to be in with a very good location in the centre of Ljubljana. It wasn't overly sociable though, and sometimes the queue for the showers in the morning were ridiculous. Overall would recommend for a relaxed stay.
