Old Centre Hostel

The owners/people at the reception are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The hostel is very small, and only has 4 rooms (one single and one double included). However, at least two of the rooms have fantastic balconies! The breakfast isn't huge but is totally fine. The kitchen is very small, but it does have a mini stove, and a toaster oven. The location is excellent! We had a great stay.

The hostel was very clean, slightly institutional-feeling (still I'd rather that than dirty and unsafe), but friendly. Very central location! Wasn't a super social-seeming hostel, but that could just be the group that was there when I was. Overall very nice, and I'd definitely go back.

An excellently fantastic hostel! Really great place to meet other travelers, big kitchen, with storage boxes for food. They also serve some food and have a full bar that's not too pricey. The room I was in was quite spacious, even though the door slammed a bit. The bathrooms are clean, even if the showers are a little small (not that big a deal!). Overall, I super-duper recommend this place!

Citystay Mitte

Really great hostel—clean, safe, well located. Staff was friendly, and the drinks at the bar were pretty reasonably priced. The internet was a little pricey, but if we weren't rushed to register for classes we could have gone to an internet cafe for cheaper. The place seemed very safe, if a bit a impersonal. Really well located in the Mitte, which is fairly central. It isn't the party capital, but it's centrally located between all of the different attractions. The winter deal was a huge plus!

Overall a good stay, they upgraded us to a private room with no extra charge which was great. The downside was that the room was right next to the lobby/entrance/landing (where you can smoke on the very steep steps - steps scary, but cool rule) so we could hear almost everything all night long. The internet wasn't totally reliable. Also the hostel is a good 30 minute walk from the center, and the tram costs 2.70 euros. But overall, the staff was very friendly and it was a good time!

Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was pretty good. The room was generally clean, and beds nice. Sheets were a bit expensive, but worth it. It was nice to have a sink in the room. However, it would have been nice to have more than 1 bathroom/shower per floor. The kitchen was nice and a good area to hang out. In a cool, very ethnic area of Montmartre, and minutes from the Sacre Coeur! Overall good experience! :)

St. Christopher's was fantastic! Everything was extremely clean, having a bar (and a club!) right there was fantastic, even if drinks were still fairly pricey (except for 1 euro shots!). Curtains around the beds added fantastic privacy, plus having sockets and night lamps felt luxurious. The location in Paris was in a pretty area along a canal, but fairly far from the center of the city and the main attractions. Luckily, it was located 10 min walking from the music festival we were going to!

This hostel seemed quite nice at first with a clean common room and computers. However our room smelled horrible, the beds did not seem clean and had practical canyons in the middle. We had no way of securing our luggage (at least that the grumpy person at the desk told us about, aside from a safe), and we did not feel totally secure in the room with nowhere to put our luggage (although this is probably mostly due to the people in our room, no fault of the hostel's). Breakfast was good though.

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

The hostel is very friendly, with a great breakfast. It has lot's of character (and that doesn't mean that it's dirty). The atmosphere is really nice, for some reason I feel like there's less mixing between hostelers, but I could be wrong. One downside - the showers are pretty grungy. And out of the way. But hey, it's cheap.

Brussels Hostel Grand Place

The Hostel was really well located (directly off the Grand Place, and in tourist central), but it was really a pain to have to leave our luggage 15 minutes away on foot, and wait to move it until 4. What is understated is that this hostel is really just an extension of the 2go4 hostel. There are rooms (no kitchen), and the majority of the time not even a staff member there. However it was clean, and perfectly located.

Plug-Inn Hostel was everything we were waiting for and more. It was not too expensive (and included a breakfast!), clean, lots of fun, friendly, and perfectly located! As a group of four girls we got a private room which was a little small, but clean, had a private, very nice, bathroom w/ a bath and a shower. Our room was on the ground floor, and I think that someone said that as you got higher in the building the rooms got bigger. The atmosphere was excellent. The people were really great, and we spent

All around, an excellent hostel. Plenty of information for travellers (including discounts to the museums and bus). A clean kitchen (although lacking an oven). The beds were solid and wooden - so not too noisy (like they often are). The sheets were clean and white, and the blankets warm. The showers were certainly clean. They were a little out of the way - you had to walk through the bar and a couple steps outside to get to them, but that's no big deal. And the bar was great - not too expensive! Just reme
