Riad Massin

Marrakech, Morocco
77%

The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The hostel is split in to two separate Riads, we had the private room in the second building. There is only one set of keys so a member of staff lets you in which can have it's downside, equally means that security is pretty high. We found that the Riad picked up every bit of noise so those wanting an early night after walking around the Souks all day might be kept awake later than liked by others in the building. Stay again if in a group.

Grandio Party Hostel

Budapest, Hungary

We used it as a base for a group of guys on a stag do...I think we were slightly out of season for major parties being organised in the hostel however we had our own itinerary anyway so this did not matter. I would happily stay here again if we were in a similar group.

A&C Much More

Rome, Italy

The owner/manager Americo was a fantastic host, very friendly & happy to help. The hostel itself was extremely clean & well presented, I would say more like a hotel than a hostel in terms of the rooms. One downside would be the 'yellow' hostel over the road which played loud music late in to the night & early in to the morning. Shame it's there really otherwise A&C Much More would have been perfect.

The Dreamer Hostel

Santa Marta, Colombia

The dreamer was a nice hostel. It is a good base from Santa Marta to visit Parque Tayrona & the Lost City as they have a secure place for yours bags. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Casa Bellavista Hostel

Bogota, Colombia

Had a fantastic stay here in Casa Bellavista. The staff were fantastic, always willing to help with any query! The dorms are spacious and clean, and your bed gets made every day! I shall return here when I'm back in Bogota.

The Secret Garden Quito

Quito, Ecuador

This hostel has exceptionally high reviews and for this reason we were expecting a lot. The staff are helpful, except for the volunteer staff who knew nothing. The showers are very poor and having to pay for use of the PCs is not cool.

Hostel Nucapacha

Guayaquil, Ecuador

We only stayed here for one night as a stop over but had everything a hostel needs. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good, scrambled egg was a rare treat coming fro further south.

Kon Tiki Bungalows

Mancora, Peru
73%

Kon Tiki could be amazing. The location is high up on hill, which requires a walk up but worth it for the view. The owner needs to be more wary of his guests, e.g. not doing his power drilling in the main communal area at 5pm with guests trying to relax. The bungalows were simple but nice.

Hostal Cocosbeach

I'm not sure there are many other options in Haunchaco, but we had no real problems here, just wasn't anywhere near the standard we have come to expect

I Keu Ken Hostel

El Calafate, Argentina
93%

I Keu Ken is a fantastic hostel, made so by it's fantastic staff. The location is next to the huge supermarket which is great and a 5-10 min walk into town. A good base for visits to the glacier & then help from the guys to travel on. One of the better hostels we've stayed in.

La Casa del Viajero

El Bolson, Argentina
97%

This hostel was a joy to stay in. The hosts are nothing but accommodating and make you feel very welcome. It attracts the right kind of traveler and a community spirit. The only downside would be the location and if you are a solo female traveler, walking back from El Bolson (10mins) at night you may find intrepid.

Tangoinn Soho

Bariloche, Argentina

The staff kindly let us leave our bags here whilst we went on our 2 day trek. On returning it is a good location for access to the bus terminal, as is about 5 mins walk. The town is about 20 mins walk in

Hostel Mendoza Lodging

Mendoza, Argentina

Gustavo the owner is a great guy but his hostel lacked some basic needs. Toilets broken, common room sofa very uncomfortable/unusable, lacked security lockers in rooms which i find a must. Location is right next to the supermarket which is a bonus.

Lagares Hostel

Mendoza, Argentina

The staff were great. Being unable to use your own padlocks on the security lockers did not impress. The location was ok and so was the general overview of the hostels cleanliness, however the bathrooms could have done with a clean as they were dusty/dirty.

7 Duendes

Salta, Argentina

Great place to meet other travelers, the rooms were hot at night/no fans or AC. Nice outdoors common area. WIFI throughout the whole hostel which is great. Would stay here again if i visited Salta once more.

Marcopolo Inn Iguazu

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina
67%

The Location is the best thing about this hostel. It is situated opposite the main bus terminal for easy access in and out of Puerto Iguazu + buses too and from both the Argentinian & Brazilian falls. The staff were not overly friendly which was a shame.

La Cruz del Sur

La Paloma, Uruguay
90%

Amazing location and if you get the top dorm, you are in for a treat of a view across the bay. The hostel is friendly, accommodating and great base to explore La Paloma from. It's very clean and there is a great kitchen to use. If you are trying to find it, look for the tall pink building as the instructions to the hostel are pretty bad!

Punto Berro Hostel

Montevideo, Uruguay
70%

There is certainly nothing wrong with Punto Burro Hostel. It is in a good location, with nice people working and staying here. There could be another bathroom to alleviate the flow of people needing showers in the morning but other than that fine.

El Galope Horse Farm

Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay

We had an amzing stay at El Gelope which is a small ranch/hostel out in the countryside. Originally we had booked this hostel thinking it was in Colonia, but to our surprise it is actually about an hour away by bus. The owner Miguel, was more than amazing and tended to all our needs, including picking us up from the bus stop & driving us the short distance to the hostel. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling between Colonia and Montevideo. The only downfall for us was only booking one night and having
