Great breakfast, Internet/computer facilities and a nice little library for book exchanges. Owners were incredibly hospitable and helpful with arranging plans and entertainment. Would definitely recommend this hostel to friends visiting salvador.

Internet wifi and phones not working at all. We booked a double room but were given bunk beds. Room was freshly painted and smelled strongly of paint fumes. Wet paint ended up on our hands and clothing. No lockers or security - windows could be opened from the outside. The owner spoke no English which made things Even more difficult. We ended up leaving and walking down the road to the Albergue de Olinda, which was not only cheaper but much more pleasant and secure.

The staff were all wonderful - very hospitable and helpful. We were there for reveillon and met lots of new friends at the hostel. The Internet was not functioning properly for most of the stay, but it was out of the hostels control to be honest. The breakfast and kitchen facilities were great. There were also strong fans in the rooms without a/c which made the eat bearable. Rooms also had their own fridge for drinks.

Nice enough rooms - but there is no guest kitchen at all - having a single hot plate and a kettle doesn't count as a self-catering facility. Not even a microwave or toaster oven. Location is decent, staff were friendly enough and rooms were secure.
