the plain and anonymous front door does nothing to prepare you for the delights within this atmospheric and authentically Moroccan property. Situated in the heart of The Medina and just 5 minutes from the Kasbah the location can't be beaten. Hostel staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. A treasure
few staff spoke English although they were helpful and attentive. There was a room service facility for hot and cold food although no restaurant and breakfast was not included in the tariff. The room was adaequate but not furnished in any 'homely' way and was devoid of pictures, soft furnishings and objets d'art. My room had no window, being set in the basement
The Hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they helped me to make plans and organise myself to make the best use of my time. The breakfast was fabulous and very filling: yoghurt, cereal, toast, bread, cold meats, cheese and very tastefully prepared salad. Tea and coffee was available throughout the day. All in all, fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend Mosquito Hostel to others and go back there.
GREAT LOCATION AND HELPFUL STAFF. ALSO VERY GENEROUS WITH FREE FOOD AVAILABLE 24/7.
whilst the owner was extremely friendly and helpful, guest accommodation was dirty, untidy and scruffy and the shower/toilet facilities appeared not to have been deep-cleaned for a long time. The wash basin was blocked for the entire duration of my stay. In terms of location, the hostel was a good 15min walk from the old town and considerably farther from the bus station as well as being exceedingly difficult to find.
it was like being in someone's home and I was made to feel very welcome. It was spotlessly clean yet homely in a comfy sort of way
