The best part about this hostel is the vibe -- the staff create a very relaxed and social atmosphere, and the happy hour (free beer!) and nightly events are great for when you've got nothing to in the evening. The staff (especially Lola and Nia) were always on hand to help out with any questions or just to chat.

This hostel is in a very convenient location in downtown Kyoto, which makes accessing all the sites (and returning from them) very easy.

This hostel is wonderful! The location at Shinsaibashi station is prefect as it's not too far of a walk from the train station, and the shopping arcades and Dotonburi street are all a short walk away. There's also plenty of food in the area. The hostel itself is great with very comfortable beds, wifi in the rooms, and great common areas. The staff are also very friendly and helpful!

I was here during the Lunar New Year holiday and really enjoyed my stay -- the staff is very helpful and always available, and the lounge area as a great atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and the dorm rooms were split by curtains so it felt like there were less people in the room. They had a New Years dumpling making and dinner event that was great, and I also booked my great wall tour through them.

The first thing you notice about the hostel is the interior design: there are two lounges on different which open to the interior, and a kitchen which overlooks these two lounges. The rooms were clean and the beds were very confortable -- the bathrooms were also pretty nice. My only complaint was that because the staff is not there overnight, there's a chance for loud overnight parties (it happened one night). Otherwise Ioved the hostel!

Anne Hostel was my second hostel in Tokyo, and even though it was smaller, I enjoyed my stay there more. The facilities and rooms are all nice and clean, and the free breakfast is a plus. The staff are also helpful and provide tons of informational materials for sightseeing and activities in Tokyo. Additionally, the wifi worked well in the bedrooms, which can be hard to find in some hostels.

I stayed at Khaosan World Asakusa for two nights -- I was struck by how large the hostel was and all of the facilities available. The kitchen and bathrooms in particular were very nice. The kitchen was large, clean, and had a lot of room for cooking, and the bathrooms were very private (they were in the hallway, but had numerous toilets and showers each in their own private but spacious stall. The only downside is that the walk to the stations can be a pain, but the area around it is great!
