A place so nice I stayed twice. - Thor
Heading to Rio? Book at Books!
I love this place even if I did lose my pants here. The owner and the staff are some of the best people I have met and located in the middle of the best neighborhood in Sao Paulo. When im back in Rio. Ill be here.
Good location 1 block from the subway and maybe the best streets for day/night life. Common rooms quite small and ran out of beer 1 night.
Nice relaxing location right next to the beach, bus station and some little local shops. Hostel was well laid out, nice bar/common area, very comfortable beds, terraces, beach toys, amazing helpful staff, and who doesn't love a free caiprhinia everyday!?
Good location near bus station, clean, hot showers. Buzzing yourself out every time isnt the greatest....
Clean, good location. Having to buzz yourself out, as well as in, is a fair pain.
La Lechuza should be listed in a 101 on how to run a hostel. The hostel staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and social with a great sense of humor. The positive vibe of the place is contagious. Booked for 3 nights, ended up staying for 7. The only reason i'm not still there is i came with a mission to see South America and if i didn't leave i probably never would have! Muchas gracias Juan, Javiera and all of the crew at La Lechuza. When i visit Rosario again, you know where ill be! Phil
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Wendy is lovely. Have stayed in 20-30 plus hostels. Highly recommended. Will be back when if i am in Buenos Aires again.
Great location, close to Penn station and many other attractions NY has to offer. Good WiFi, extremely friendly and helpful staff although the room smelled like flatulence. The only thing missing from this place was a common room. Other wise a great place to stay and i will definitely be back.
I feel really bad for this hostel. The owner is one of the best people i've ever met but it is in such a bad bad neighborhood, i can't recommend it. You know it's a bad place when alot of taxi drivers actually refuse to take you here after dark. If your with a group of people, stay here, if your solo, stay away.
An awesome hostel 2 mins from Times Square and the subway. Each dorm is like an apartment with it's own kitchen and bathroom. Staying here you feel like a local living in NYC in one of the best parts of town. Only trouble was the wifi was disconnected and had to use the local McDonalds. All day breakfast and great staff. I now know where to stay when i come back to NYC.
A good, clean, fun hostel which i found to be in a bad area of town. I was told that it wasn't actually to bad of an area for Paris, but i considered it worse than most of the other cities i've visited in the past month. Good common room where you can meet alot of people, great breakfast, good showers, decent size rooms and the staff were all round good with the exception of 1. I also had an air con in my room.
Apart from being woken at 5:30am from a staff member shining a high beam torch in my eyes, my stay here was quite good. I understand he was just doing his job in a tricky situation. The rooms can be very cramped and the showers (always hot) cause the whole bathroom floor to become wet. WiFi can be limiting in some rooms. Atop an Irish pub in the heart of the Red Light District. If you stay here, you should take this into account...
It was more of a home than a hostel
