El Viajero - Hostel & Suites

“spent a day at this hostel because I wanted to cook. Cooking facilities ok, not great. My single room was pleasant, everything worked, in an old-fashioned kind of way. The house has a nice atmosphere. The lockers in the front room for stored luggage can only hold a day pack. There are several staff, male and female. They were mostly fine, and some could speak English. Breakfast was also ok, with cereal, breads, milk and coffee. As an earlier reviewer remarked, guests have to wash what they use.

This hostel may be alright if the weather is not too hot. The day I arrived, it was very hot and the sun was shining directly on the flat, concrete roof. There was no air conditioning and the fan did not work.

Evelina is an enthusiastic and engaging host. Location between town and airport is convenient. Airport and Falls bus stop is only 100 metres away. (From airport, first traffic light has China Restaurant. Get down after next traffic light. ) rooms and facilities are good. Breakfast buffet is substantial and delicious. Very recommended.

From the reviews I was apprehensive but things turned out well. Maybe Room 101 was better than the others. Reception spoke no English but Google translate worked sufficiently. Luggage storage in a large locker for free up to 5 days. Breakfast was substantial and tasty.

Mix of positives and negatives. Good location for Old Town. Substantial breakfast but served somewhat late at 8 am which is 3+ hours after sunrise. Kitchen not accessible to guests but you can get hot water. Room has an old fashioned charm but let in mosquitoes, which a screen and better care of compound could take care of. Bathroom works but is basic, best to put clothes outside. Host is informative and engaging.

The staff here are the key feature. Very friendly and helpful which set the tone for guests. Very sharing atmosphere here. Downstairs ensuite room was noisy from creaking floor above. Took another room which was fine. Had mobile heater. Kitchen very small and old but clean. Near super art and metro.

The owners Vito and his wife and good people who work hard to meet guest needs. Room is fine. Hot water reliable. Breakfast OK, coffee very good. Location is convenient to van to Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. San Pedro's market is nearby. View of Cristobal Blanca at night. Vito booked the taxi for me. He arrived on time and delivered me to the terminal.

Great location, but a bit difficult to find at first -- sign is below Al Sahaby restaurant. Hot water good. Solid breakfast buffet. Staff esp Muhammad very helpful. Attached restaurant serves good food. Price not low but OK. No lift so a fair bit of walking as breakfast is on top floor. Wifi not stable.

The lady who runs this place is excellent in her role. Rooms are not special but good enough. Cleanliness is exceptionally high. Location is good if you like a little bit of walking. There are good restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast substantial. Wireless internet is a reasonable 2 euros extra per day. Sea view rooms also a bit higher priced.

A unique experience. Almost everything here is done well. The building is a classic Arab House, which has a large courtyard and two storeys of rooms. The doors are hand crafted and the beautiful ceilings hand painted (beautiful designs). The beds, mattresses and duvet all good quality and well maintained. Toilets are always an issue in old buildings but here I think they have done the best possible. Breakfast is substantial and offers a taste of genuine local food. The kitchen staff are very ent

OK for the price in Pristina. A bit hard to find so get a taxi. Location on Google Map is correct. Address on my satnav could not be found. No breakfast option. Nearest eating places a 10 minute walk away. Generally hard to get breakfast in this town.

Large-scale, well-run hostel. Excellent reception staff. Practical showers, with a separate area to put clothes on chair. Nice sitting areas. Good kitchen, very busy. Keycard works perfectly. Breakfast worthwhile. Lift to reception and part of upper floor. Sweden is generally expensive, so is this hostel in comparison with Eurozone places.

Grand Hostel Gdansk

Kitchen is very modern and clean. Location is is between old town and rail station, nearer to the former. (convenient to for bus 210 to airport (110 from airport). All the reception staff can speak good English, although slightly lacking ability to solve problems and express politely in English. Reception is on first floor and the rooms are on 2nd, 3rd and attic floor. Staircase is narrow, creak a lot ,and steep -- especially difficult to the attic- only short people need try.

Large hostel, reception on 2nd floor, rooms mainly on 3rd and 4th. There's a lot of walking because of the multi-levels and lots of people. Staff generally competent and can speak English, but are very busy whole day, working long hoursr. Rooms and baths/toilets are getting on in years. Bring own towel.
