Only stayed here one night as we had an early bus to catch. Convenient if getting bus or ferry from port, but rather far from old town. The owner is lovely and very helpful, even gave us cold water and a bite to eat when we arrived.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Had a bit of difficulty finding it, but apart from that everything was good.
It was nice to have our own apartment in Dubrovnik, away from all the other tourists. However, the apartment was next door to the family who own it and we felt like we were intruding. Also, they don't really speak english which made it quite difficult when checking in.
As the previous feedback states, the host was helpful with recommendations. However our room was in actually apartment 3 blocks away and we never saw him again after checking in. He said we could call for anything, but we don't have phones. Also I'm usually not picky with beds but it was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in, we both woke up sore. And the room is incredibly noisy and you hear everything on the street. Also plates, cutlery etc would be useful for the kitchenette
Bit expensive for what you get, but for accommodation in Venice this is pretty standard. We liked having use of a kitchen and a lounge, and it was nice being away from the touristy areas. When we checked in hotel Minerva the lady was quite rude, asking why didn't have a print out of our booking (which has never been a problem anywhere else). And after getting our key at the backpackers, there was never anyone around when we wanted to ask something.
We arrived at 2.30am in the morning which I emailed the hotel beforehand to check if this was okay, and we were told it was fine as they have '24hr reception'. Then the owner emails me asking where we are at 2am. When we finally arrive, the owner was asleep and seemed annoyed that we woke him from his sleep! Other than that, this place was good enough for our short stay.
The owner here means well, but we were still disappointed in our stay here. The place is downtown which is definitely the nicest or safest place in Lisbon. The street is dirty and doesnt feel safe and the building itself looks derelict. Also it was quite noisy outside with construction, and the building had a bad smell. Also they say online they have washing facilities but whenwe asked about this, the lady didnt know what to say... and then came back an hour with 15 euro a loud... expensive!
We really enjoyed our stay here, location was great and the staff were really lovely and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay here, room was great and place had a nice feel. Although we were lucky our room was up the first flight of stairs which had access to wifi. Second flight upstairs is really steep and does not have wifi acess (says only in common areas). The host was really nice, told us places to go on a map and we rented a bike from him for the day which was convenient. Really recommend.
This place away from the main part of town and up a steep walk - however the view from the terrrace made up for it and it's not far to walk to everything. The terrace and kitchen upstairs was the best part of our stay. Rooms are very basic. Main issue was the bathroom - not much ventilation which gives off a damp smell and was not the cleanest. Also some doors do not close properly. Overall, good place to stay still.
We enjoyed our stay at Trianon, fairly good location, rooms were nice, good wifi, all very clean. It was like staying in our own apartment, very quiet. If staying here, make sure to notify them of your arrival time as they don't have a reception - they just meet you out the front, you pay and they give you a key and that's it.
very homely, it's like staying in someones house!

Rooms very cold! but nice hot showers
Staff were really helpful, nice rooms and good outside bar!
Helpful staff, great bed and rooms. Highly recommend
Rooms very small, dirty and bathroom stank really bad. And overall hostel is pretty shady with dark narrow corridors
Great little hostel. Staff was really friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks! Only downside was the beds were a tad uncomfortable
Didnt really appreciate having to change rooms half way through my booking, especially when check out isinglass the morning and check out is later in the afternoon... Especially when I made the booking months ago
Pretty basic no frills accommodation...
Loved this place, great rooms/bathrooms, great atomsphere, great breakfast, and great location!
Great hostel, a lot of fun stuff going on, friendly staff. Can get a bit noisy though, so don't recommend for those wanting a lot of sleep!
Nice enough hostel, only thing is that some of the dorms including mine is on another street so if you want anything like towels, Internet etc you have to walk around the corner and down a blocK or so
