Only stayed here one night as we had an early bus to catch. Convenient if getting bus or ferry from port, but rather far from old town. The owner is lovely and very helpful, even gave us cold water and a bite to eat when we arrived.

Apartment Arapovic

Dubrovnik, Croatia

It was nice to have our own apartment in Dubrovnik, away from all the other tourists. However, the apartment was next door to the family who own it and we felt like we were intruding. Also, they don't really speak english which made it quite difficult when checking in.

Relais Florence

Florence, Italy

As the previous feedback states, the host was helpful with recommendations. However our room was in actually apartment 3 blocks away and we never saw him again after checking in. He said we could call for anything, but we don't have phones. Also I'm usually not picky with beds but it was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in, we both woke up sore. And the room is incredibly noisy and you hear everything on the street. Also plates, cutlery etc would be useful for the kitchenette

DEAR BRITTANY, THANK YOU, SEE YOU SOON, REGARDS PIERO

Bit expensive for what you get, but for accommodation in Venice this is pretty standard. We liked having use of a kitchen and a lounge, and it was nice being away from the touristy areas. When we checked in hotel Minerva the lady was quite rude, asking why didn't have a print out of our booking (which has never been a problem anywhere else). And after getting our key at the backpackers, there was never anyone around when we wanted to ask something.

Hotel Tirreno

Milan, Italy

We arrived at 2.30am in the morning which I emailed the hotel beforehand to check if this was okay, and we were told it was fine as they have '24hr reception'. Then the owner emails me asking where we are at 2am. When we finally arrive, the owner was asleep and seemed annoyed that we woke him from his sleep! Other than that, this place was good enough for our short stay.

Pensão Bom Conforto

Lisbon, Portugal

The owner here means well, but we were still disappointed in our stay here. The place is downtown which is definitely the nicest or safest place in Lisbon. The street is dirty and doesnt feel safe and the building itself looks derelict. Also it was quite noisy outside with construction, and the building had a bad smell. Also they say online they have washing facilities but whenwe asked about this, the lady didnt know what to say... and then came back an hour with 15 euro a loud... expensive!

Pension Virgen de la Luz

Seville, Spain

We really enjoyed our stay here, room was great and place had a nice feel. Although we were lucky our room was up the first flight of stairs which had access to wifi. Second flight upstairs is really steep and does not have wifi acess (says only in common areas). The host was really nice, told us places to go on a map and we rented a bike from him for the day which was convenient. Really recommend.

El Clandestino

Granada, Spain
89%

This place away from the main part of town and up a steep walk - however the view from the terrrace made up for it and it's not far to walk to everything. The terrace and kitchen upstairs was the best part of our stay. Rooms are very basic. Main issue was the bathroom - not much ventilation which gives off a damp smell and was not the cleanest. Also some doors do not close properly. Overall, good place to stay still.

Trianon & Co Barcelona

We enjoyed our stay at Trianon, fairly good location, rooms were nice, good wifi, all very clean. It was like staying in our own apartment, very quiet. If staying here, make sure to notify them of your arrival time as they don't have a reception - they just meet you out the front, you pay and they give you a key and that's it.

Nice enough hostel, only thing is that some of the dorms including mine is on another street so if you want anything like towels, Internet etc you have to walk around the corner and down a blocK or so
