El Genoves Hostal

Cartagena, Colombia

Loved this place! Pretty sure it is located on the most beautiful street in Cartagena! Friendly staff and clean facilities. Definitely a more relaxing atmosphere than other hostels in the city. Try the Argentinian restaurant around the corner.. It was amazing!

Hostel Villa Vento Surf

Panama City, Panama

Nice place with a nice pool and a very chill vibe. Booked a 4 person dorm for 3 people... There was no lock for the door. You just leave your things and can't lock up behind you. Never have had that happen at a hostel and really didn't like it. Lots of people seem to actually live here. Do not take a tour from some random guy. He acted like he worked at the hostel when I was trying to find out the best way to the canal and we ended up wasting an entire day because he was clueless :(

Hello, sorry that you thought the tour was a waste of time the day you went the traffic in the city was horrible due to a protest from universities, he actually does work in the hostel i can assure he knows what hes doing and is a very nice guy if not he wouldn't be working here, regarding the lock for the door each bed has a locker assigned to it apart from that we have a locked storage room for your bags. in four years the hostel has been open we have never had an issue with this.

Bambu Hostel

David City, Panama

Just had an overnight stay between Costa Rica and Panama City... Booked a private room. Bed linens seemed dirty and there were ants crawling all over the bathroom. There is a jungle tree house in the back as a dorm which seemed like a cool experience for sure. Staff was nice and friendly. The man working at night didn't really know any answers to our questions which was not very helpful.

Backpackers Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Lots of people and not a lot of bathrooms. Reception seemed annoyed at every question. Good value for the price I guess. Rooms are open to the surroundings aka not inside a building. So if you are in a dorm and someone doesn't lock up you are relatively exposed. Close to Manuel Antonio and nice sunset views.

Generator Hostel Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark

Great location and atmosphere. Walking distance to the new harbor and shopping. Main attractions very accessible. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Hamburg, Germany

Charged an extra 'tourist tax' on arrival which was not listed as the amount due on arrival from the hostelworld website. Whole place smells like cigarettes. No staff ever present. Room was never cleaned in 4 days stay. Shower overflowed daily in a 6 person room with only 3 people in it. Kitchen is not attached to housing.

Wombats City Hostel Berlin

Berlin, Germany

Loved this hostel so much! Rooms were cleaned frequently and spacious. Front desk had great suggestions and were super helpful on accommodations. Close to the subway which is a plus. Top floor bar is the best I've seen in a hostel!
