Clean comfortable with all the modern amenities and small things you'd expect - individual lights and power points etc. Loved the industrial but quirky/cool decor and overall vibe. Rooftop was super lovely. Location excellent and staff helpful and friendly. I thought it was a little expensive (which is why the rating working out to 9.1) however it was due to staying over the weekend and to be fair seemed to be the going rate at many hostels. So would still absolutely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay at Cohort! The rooms were clean and comfortable (the dorm I was in was a little on the small side, which might be tight when the dorm is full but thankfully wasn't during my stay) with all the extras like bed curtain, lockers, individual lights and power sockets. The rest of the hostel was awesome too, great common spaces and the kitchen was fantastic! So well equipped. The staff were all kind and helpful and the location was spot on! Hope to stay again soon!

I stayed in a female dorm room which was relatively clean and comfortable - because the building is a bit older there are some things that could use a big clean/upgrade (like the bathrooms), and even though there aren't all the facilities of other hostels (bed lights, curtains, kitchen for example) it still did the job. The staff were really lovely too and the location is just unbeatable that made up for it!
Hey, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Hopefully we'll see you back in Newquay again soon! The St. Christopher's Inn team

I primarily chose this hostel for its ease and access to the airport - which was fantastic but it was well located to shops and transport for the rest of the city anyway. It's a beautifully designed hostel and the forms were super clean and comfy and well throughout. I especially liked the bathrooms and how they were designed too. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed at Lub D this time last year and it was a no brainer where to stay again this visit. Everything was as clean and as comfortable as I remembered - such a well thought out hostel, especially the dorm rooms. Love the facilities here - the pool and travel desk, and I got to watch the movie by the pool this visit too which was great! Staff are lovely and I was also super stoked to see the steps they've taken towards reducing plastic since my last visit - awesome work!

I chose to stay at Onederz in Koh Rong sanleom aftering staying at other onederz hostels in Cambodia because I knew what to expect- I was not disappointed. This hostel is their best (that I've stayed in and in my opinion) - phnommenial location, excellent facilities and a layout that has been well thought out, yummy food and staff who work tirelessly to keep this place clean and tidy. Dorms are nice, cool and comfortable, I was so sad to leave. Would definitely stay again!

Have stayed at Onederz in Sihanoukville and I'm glad the Phnom Penh location was as I expected, if not better. Dorms were clean and comfortable - and nice and cool! Well thought out with personal lights, power points, etc. as were the bathrooms (well thought out) (but seriously, not the hostels fault, just such a shame some people are so inconsiderate in a communal space like the bathroom, sorry, end rant). Good facilities on offer like the rooftop bar and laundry and the staff were super sweet.

Score seems harsh, don't get me wrong the hostel still ticks a lot of boxes but there are some things to work on. Room was mostly clean and comfortable - I liked the personal lights, plugs and curtain, but I say mostly clean because there's just some areas (around the sides of the bunk and mine was one of the ones on the ground so it's pretty obvious) that need a bit more attention. Bathroom is nice but not super practical. Staff seemed pretty indifferent to guests. Location is very good though.

I really liked how the dorm room was laid out and the beds were big and comfy! The bathroom was not the most modern but it was clean. There was a key to the door of the dorm but no one ever locked it but I didn't feel like this was a security issue. The staff were prbaly the beat part about the hostel - the level of English was very good and they were so kind and helpful.

Oh wow! What an amazing hostel!! Although dorm doors did not have locks, I did not feel it was insecure and there was still a locker inside - the dorms were otherwise clean and comfortable, a bit smaller but still well thought out. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the setting is just amazing - such a gorgeous spot! Could've sat and taken in the view all day! Staff were helpful as well and were helping coordinate a lot of onward travel for guests etc. And were very organised about it.

I stayed at the Old Quarter View a couple of times after going back and forth from Hanoi to other places in Northern Vietnam. After my second stay most of the staff recognised me and remembered my name - which makes you feel really special. I loved that the staff were always very attentive with their service and happy to help. I stayed in a 4 bed and then 12 bed dorm - actually preferred the 12 bed because it was more spacious but the dorms were all clean w/great facilities.
Dear beloved customer, Thank you for posting such a wonderful review. I am so glad to hear that you very much enjoyed the hostel location, the clean and spacious room and the customer service from my team members. My team of dedicated associates strives to provide the best possible service and we are so pleased to receive such kind feedback. On our first visit to chiang Mai, We stayed in another part of town but stayed in this area on our return as it's quite hip with some awesome places to eat. The hostel is still very convenient to town and easy to get to the airport. Hostel itself has great attention to detail and cleanliness. It is a small hostel, which is nice and a cosy atmosphere. The owner and his girlfriend were incredibly attentive to all our needs and making sure we had a great stay. Lovely stay!

Great hostel - amazing location! Facilities were really nice (although wifi wasn't the greatest) and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Most of the staff were nice and while it wasn't the most atmospheric hostel I've stayed at it was generally a very welcoming vibe. Excellent value for money (and least for a weekday stay).
Hello, Thanks for your review, you should try come visit in the summer months (weekend) when the atmosphere is more livelier :) Gemma

I stayed at this hostel for the first time in 2011 - glad to see it's still nice and clean and it's interesting that now it's one of the few hostels I've recently visited that has a nice atmosphere with people cooking in the kitchen and socialising upstairs. Dorms are small but clean and bathrooms are great, all the amenities the hostel has to offer are top notch and the staff are helpful and friendly!

This was my favourite place I stayed at in Morocco. Just on the edge of the medina it was easy to find and convenient to a lot of sights, nice places to eat and amenities (ATM's etc). The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast time was a nice way to meet other travellers as was the roof top terrace. I definitely thought this was the cleanest place I stayed at as well - I was initially in a female 5 bed dorm, which was super cosy :-)
thousand welcome

Greenmilk Hostel was one of my favourites I stayed at while in Morocco. I usually value things like cleanliness and security over a social place (thats not to say things weren't clean and secure) but this really was such a welcoming place and I met lovely people here. The location was great, staff were extremely helpful and generous and that meant there was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

Overall my stay here was great - I arranged a transfer from the airport with a bag carrier as I arrived late at night and this went really smoothly. The staff were friendly and once you knew were the hostel was in relation to the square it was a good spot within the medina. The facilities were really good - the pool and roof top terrace and I met some lovely people there. Cleanliness of my bed was a bit questionable! Which was the main downside and why I gave a lower rating.

Really enjoyed my stay at Park Villa - staff were helpful and friendly. The location is convinient to Mile End tube which has lots of lines and connections to central London. The immediate area is also convinient with some food options and shops, and the Westfield isn't far either. The kitchen & lounges were small but cosy & that was made up for by the size of the rooms which were modern, very clean & comfortable. Liked all of the bed/room features. Lots of expats, but still a nice atmosphere.

This was by far my favourite hostel during my stay in China. The bar/common area is fresh and modern and the food and drink options were great. The staff were lovely, very professional (always using my name) and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (the style of the bunks is great, as are the lockers, power points, shelves and personal lights and curtins). The wifi was very reliable and the laundry was free! Fantastic location as well!
Thank you for your kind words! 😊

The hostel has a good bar/common area and so felt atmospheric. I liked the style of the beds and the personal shelves, lamps and power points but the floor in the hostel seemed especially hard to keep clean and so made the place feel not so clean. The reception staff has really poor attitudes and were rude, the bar staff were friendlier.

Great clean and comfortable hostel in a great location. Parts and aspects of the hostel feel a little dated/worn, but overall rooms and bathrooms are very good. I especially liked the individual shelves, lamps, power outlets and curtins! The common room was nice and relatively social, and the terrace was really lovely too. Staff were very sweet and helpful, and the wifi was solid!
Thank you very much for your support. We will try our best to deal with the problems as soon as possible.Have a nice day!

This hostel is a great location with lovely staff and a relaxed, social atmosphere! The room was clean enough, however the bathroom being so small was hard to keep dry and therefore got a little smelly! Still I liked the individual lights and power outlets. Again nice and social hostel and all of the wonderful street eats along the alley were awesome!

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Wifi was pretty spotty, but the other facilities (pool especially) were excellent! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly :-) Some small improvements like having bins in the rooms (as well as the bathroom) would be great, and (what I realise are larger improvements like) having lockers and more power points would make it spot on!

This was our second stay recently at Travelers Home and it was just as great as the first! We stayed in a double room this time, which was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are modern and super clean. Kitchen is great. And the staff were extremely understanding when our flight was delayed nearly a whole day - thanks so much! Location is perfect too!

It was our first time visiting Ukraine, and not knowing any Russian (for Kiev) we were quite nervous. Olga was helpful and tried to make us feel more at ease. The hostel (which is in an apartment building) is in a fantastic location to sights in Kiev, a supermarket and places to eat right nearby as well. The apartment and rooms at clean and tidy, and Olga has created a cosy atmosphere. Thank you for having us!

The hostel wasn't very busy during our stay but it was still a cosy atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy and there are cool and quirky decorations throughout. It was a convenient location as well. Elvira couldn't have been more considerate and accommodating during our stay - I had injured myself in our previous stop and she always made sure I was comfortable and taking care of myself (which is nice when your away from home - thank you!).

This was our second stay at Vila Veselova, as the first stay it was very clean, tidy and has a comfortable and homey atmosphere. The bunk beds and storage are great, and the staff are nice and helpful. Everything in Ljubljana is so close, as is the hostel, but in a quiet and nice area.

We originally booked 5 nights in Bovec but had a change of plan and the staff were accommodating and understanding providing a refund. During our stay there was also a big group of guests that were very rowdy but the staff also made an effort to try to calm them down and spoke to us about it all the next day, which we appreciated. As mentioned the security is lacking, however the bathrooms are new and clean, we just hope these teething problems work out because the hostel has potential.
Thanks for your rating, we are adjusting this small things and will be ready for the next season!

The hostel was clean and tidy, but quite dated and in need of some updates here and there. Still the hostel is one of the most atmospheric I've been to recently, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great in the design district but very central. As others have said the room key is odd, but works well enough.

Have stayed at this hostel on several occasions, and it's always clean, tidy and well equipped. The social aspect activities are great because you can be as social as you like or be left to your own devices without being disturbed. Always still manage to get a good sleep even in the bigger dorms - the lights off at a certain time is perfect!

The hostel was in a great area in SLO. It was because it was in this area that despite not having a key for the dorm, it still felt secure. The decor etc was a little dated. The kitchen was good, and the layout to the dining room made it easy to meet other travelers. However, while the staff were nice enough, there were a few occasions where one felt like it was the staff who lived there and that we the guests, were intruding.

The hostel buildings and furniture are a bit dated, but it's mostly tidy and clean and the location and lighthouse more than make up for it! Staff were friendly and helpful, Michael who was on in the afternoons/evenings, was particularly nice. Thanks!
Thanks Ashlee for you comments Ashlee. I pass on your message to Michael. :) Jeff Parry, General Manager

While Akari was very clean some parts of it are in need of a bit of an update. The kitchen and common room while cosy, were a bit cramped. The staff were very friendly and helpful though - information on the area and what to do in Nagasaki was great!

I don't normally like it when people say this sort of thing, but I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this would have to be the best! The hostel is how I would like my house to be furnished, with lovely furniture and gorgeous knick knacks. It is so cleverly designed and laid out, the staff take such good care of it and its always emaculate. The information on Aso throughout is wonderful as is the location. The owners and help staff (Mari) are so, so lovely, and should be incredibly proud!

Liked the location, not the closest to the Old town, but it was a pleasant walk and I enjoyed retreating back to the old town at night. 26 bed female dorm worked quite well, was mostly pleased with comfort and cleanliness (expect some of the bins should have been changed more frequently in the bathroom). Some staff were indifferent at reception, the bar staff were mostly very nice though. The bar itself didn't have the greatest atmosphere though.

Overall the room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the belushis bar, and amenities offered - free breakfast was also great. Some front desk staff were mostly helpful and friendly, some were completely indifferent especially when it came to an incident where my wallet had thought to have been stolen within one of the hostel toilets. The bar staff were all very nice.
