If you are a social backpacker wishing to speak to others this is the perfect place, the rooftop (a new addition in February) makes a very nice meeting area and also has basic cooking facilities so you can cook if you want (didn't really find this elsewhere in Sri Lanka) we stayed here both at the start and end of our trip, basic, clean rooms, near to the beach and galle rd. manager is a lovely fellow and always helped with our questions! Thanks for the hospitality

Overall an OK hostel but the same problems I had I heed had happened a lot. Told to go an check if our room was ready ourselves at 2 and if it was not to come back down? So I checked and there is someone sleeping in my bed checks should surely be done by staff? So I Am finally aloud to check in at 5, I wasn't told I could check in I looked in the room and saw my beds so went myself. Lady on reception should crack a smile or even try being polite? Bar is lively and what you would expect at Loki

A special mention to mike the guy is welcoming funny and just generally makes you smile. The description of the hostel is honest wifi is better than expected but no lockers is the only real complaint! I stayed in the 4 bed ensure room it was very spacious and the bathroom was always cleaned...would return

This had really good ratings and frankly I'm not sure how don't get me wrong this is not terrible it's just distinctly average. The room I was in was small and if you want to open the window everyone can see in so you feel a bit trapped! All in all not bad but nothing to rave about

The hostel was nice but very quiet not much happening the owner was very nice and informative but I don't think k he knows about a backpacker budget beers in the hostel were all local and different but he was charging 20 real a beer and some more (not exactly budget) and also sent us to a pizza place that was about 65 real per pizza nice but again not what a backpacker on a budget is looking for. Nice place and staff though

Carl, there are beers for R$ 9,00 like all bars, but you chose R$ 20,00. There are cheap pizzas for R$ 20,00, but you chose the best again R$ 65,00. São Paulo is the most expensive city in South America. The hostel was very busy on the bar, but you chose our living room for to be alone. Life is made of choices!
