Only a few blocks from the train station. Many restaurants in the area. Very clean. A double is NOT two beds. It is one double bed. Surprised by the extra fees for taxes and breakfast. Overall, very good experience, just figure in another 2 euros per day per person for the city tax and 5 euros for breakfast. But, you would probably do better getting breakfast out.

Awesome location, right in the heart of Venice. Owner gave good directions and very helpful advice about getting there. Rooms very comfortable, lots of charm, nice decor. Really nice experience. Billed as a Venetian palace, but just looks like an apartment.

Hotel Andre Gill, Paris, France
7.3
11th Mar 2011

Located close to the Metro, Andre Gill was convenient and reasonable. Rather busy red-light area. Also, if you are not comfortable with cats, this hotel boasts two huge ones that seem to love sleeping on the reception counter. Also, the shower stall was tiny. You can literally barely turn around in it and the shower head is not attached to the wall, so you have to hold it the entire time or lay it on the floor of the stall. I'd stay there again.
