FIN Hostel Phuket Kata Beach

Phuket, Thailand

Stayed here for a single night at the end of my trip. Hostel is 5 minute walk from Kata beach, close to various night markets. Staff was very friendly, let me hang out 12 hours after checkout as I had a late night flight. Beds are big and comfy, even in a 10 person room and have plenty of storage. Common area, pool and balconies make it very easy to chit-chat with other travelers. Would recommend.

Non La Mer Hostel

Koh Lanta, Thailand

Was supposed to stay 2 nights, ended up staying 4 in total. Great hostel with an excellent chilled out vibe. Beds and lockers are very large and spacious. I stayed in an 6 person room, the only thing negative i have to say is that the room could use a little more general lighting. Staff are helpful, provide you with all the information. The hostel is only a 5 minute walk from long beach and close to the nightly mini-market spot. Hot showers on main floor were some of the best in Thailand

Pak-Up Hostel

Krabi, Thailand

Stayed here one night in a 10-person dorm. The beds are HUGE and the storage is large enough to fit your entire backpack, keeps the room nice and open. Bar at the hostel is a nice spot to meet other travelers. It's close to the market DOWN BY THE RIVER as well as some nice local spots to eat. Would reccomend

The Yard Hostel Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

Had an absolutely lovely stay here. The place has big comfy beds, great staff and a stunning courtyard that is an excellent place to wind down after exploring the bustling streets of Bangkok. Big and little Som and her crew make you feel right at home with their helpfulness and the best breakfasts that wake you right up. The hostel has a great chilled out vibe and is right off the BTS, making it easy to access all the sights and sounds of Bangkok. Would highly recommend this place.

Big&O's House 2

Chiang Mai, Thailand

One of the nicest, kindest hosts I've ever had at a hostel. Big & and family go the extra mile to provide a safe, friendly and comfortable environment for you to stay in. Though I was there for only two nights, Big made sure to get in a daily conversation with me and provide me with recommendations for my trip. Only downside of this place is that it lacks a common area where everyone can congregate at night, but Big will go ahead and introduce you to other travelers. Thanks Big and family!

Hug Hostel

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Great place to meet other travelers. Location is at the North Gate, close to the Jazz Bar, songathews for day-trips, lady with the cowboy hat, and walkable to any point within the old city. Staff were all young and really friendly students, they really help you out with planning your stay. Beds were fairly comfortable and lockers were provided. I'd recommend this spot to anyone.

Berlin, Germany

The hotel takes on the same life as Berlin, it's grungy, it's dressy, it's eclectic, it's everything. The common areas are a great place to meet people. The kitchen facilities are ample for you to prepare your own meals. It's close to cheap eats and great local bars. The beds are nothing special. Washrooms are dorm style, common and shared. I'd recommend this place for the atmosphere, location and vibe. It's very chilled out.

Hostel One Home

Prague, Czech Republic

Staff were great. Really friendly and take you out each night. Hotel itself tends to attract a younger crowd in my opinion. Private washrooms/showers a great touch. Common areas kind of lacking but everyone gets together to hangout so can't complain. Would definitely recommend it.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

I stayed in a six person dorm. My experience overall was incredible. The hotel attracts some great people, it's close to the flea markets, shopping and about a 15-20 minute walk from the main square. The staff are incredibly friendly and have weekly outings/events. The honesty bar is a great thing to have, everything one Euro. I think I ate way too many snickers, but well worth it. The backyard is awesome place to just chill and meet others. I'd highly recommend this place .

Mambo Tango Youth Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

Stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm with 2 washrooms, a kitchen and a common room. Apartment itself was very clean, the room was a little small for 6 but very comfortable. Wifi worked great. Only complaint is that there is no AC in that room, which was deathly hot at night. But access to a small balcony was nice. Staff was great - they take you out at night and have fun events such as pasta night (Luiz the master chef) and all you can drink night. Met some great people here. Highly recommend.

Stayed in a 4 bedroom ensuite. The room was big and clean. The beds are semi-comfortable and the washrooms are also very clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Some negatives are pub crawls are stupid expensive at 20€, you have to buy drink tokens and can't pay with actual money at the bar and that there is no breakfast included. The breakfast is actually 4€ and not worth it, grab something from somewhere else. About 40 mins walking from all the sites, 10 mins from termini. Recommend

World House Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey

I actually had a three night stay in this hostel and absolutely loved it. The location is phenomenal, right on the edge of Istikal street, Istanbul's cultural centre. It's very close to the ferries, shuttle to the airport and right next to all the nightlife of Taksim. I stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm - the beds were clean and comfortable and the washrooms as well. Only problem is the internet does not reach the top floor. Breakfast was decent, security was good. Highly recommend.

Istanbul Hostel

Istanbul, Turkey

Stayed here in a single room. Room was clean, had plenty of ample space and had access to two washrooms shared with four other people. The restaurant at the hostel has some decent and cheap food, much better than the street vendors in Sultanhamet. There are plenty of bars behind the hostel but not a very social scene. Good if you want to be close to all sites. But area itself is very touristy. Would recommend this hostel - staff was great and very helpful. Cheers guys.

Ios, Greece

I have absolutely no complaints about Francesco's. It's a 20 minute walk from the main beach (which is better than being right at the beach because the buses don't run at night when you go out) and maybe a 1 minute walk away from all the main bars and clubs of Ios. Francesco and his wife Maria do an excellent job taking care of your room and your future travel plans. That being said, I'd only stay here if I was a young backpacker looking to party all day.

Athens Backpackers

Athens, Greece

This is the best way to start off your trip in Athens. The staff are super friendly, the location is right in the heart of the city and it's close enough to get all the connections to the port/airport. I had an absolute blast here and would recommend it to everyone.
