Hostal Facundo

Bathrooms and bedrooms were passably clean but the kitchen/dining area was a constant mess and facilities were not equipped for the number of people staying. Fine for a one night stay as it is near to bus station and ferry pier, but for anyone staying longer this isn't the friendly hostel atmosphere we'd hoped for.

An amazing building and even better staff. Centrally located, clean and comfortable with a lot of common areas. Ask the staff about local tours and bars and you're sure to see the best of a fun and interesting city. Thanks guys!!

A great place to stay if you're already traveling with friends. Super clean, easy access to laundry and computers with a nice breakfast and accommodating breakfast hours. This is normally a student residence though, so don't expect organized activities or common areas for meeting other backpackers.

Hostel ROOM Rotterdam

We booked a 12 bed dorm but they added beds to the room. This made an already crowded room extremely uncomfortable. It would have been fine if they simply notified us in advance but they didn't tell us at check-in nor did they compensate us in any way. No one is in the bar late at night but they still play the music until 2a or later. You can easily hear this on the ground level and first floor when you're trying to sleep. They REALLY need to clean the bathrooms more frequently. Not Impressed.

Clean and comfortable, with a large common area and terrace for socializing without disrupting anyone's sleep. Thanks so much to Bridgette and Greg for pointing out all the best places to go (be they tourist spots or not). Love the way you guys have converted this old chocolate factory!

A hotel at hostel prices. Great for a good nights sleep, but don't really expect a social atmosphere. Had troubles with wifi on the top floor.

Clean, quiet, and homey. Loved our stay here and the staff were so friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the city that we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else should we return. Great place to meet other travelers and figure out where to start in a city with so much to do. Thanks especially to Evi!

Most comfortable beds of any hostel we've stayed. Breakfast and facilities were nice and the staff was helpful in figuring out what to do and how to get there. The 8 bed dorm was actually 12 beds, with four separated by a curtain.

Owner Comment (Hide)
The 8 bed dorm is a separate 8 bed dorm normally. In fact we moved the 8 beds for few days in order to make the springtime general cleaning in that rooms and not cancel the bookings for that reason. It was a transition situation. Now, we are happy to say that the 8 bed dorm is a spotless clean " 8 bed dorm". :)

It was awesome and amazing. So many additions (like the biggest hostel breakfast ever and a small dinner) for an already low price. Easy to get to and a staff who go above and beyond to make sure you get what your looking for in Sofia. Thanks so much guys!

Quiet, clean, and friendly. A little bit further from the regular Istanbul tourist attractions, but worth it for the friendliness of the staff and the feeling of home. We stayed longer then expected because of this wonderful hostel.

Friendly staff and a space as clean as the pictures. So much more included then the listing says.

The Flying Fox

Blue Mountains, Australia

The Flying Fox was a home away from home, complete with family that it was just as hard to say goodbye to when it was time to move on. If you're just getting to Australia and don't know where to go and what to see then this place is the answer. A 10 minute walk from town center and the train. Includes: breakfast, free internet, trail and lookout maps (and people who've done them to make suggestions), occasional pasta dinners, great campfire area, bedtime cookies, tea/coffee, and so much more.

Great location, right near the beach and the main street in town. Quiet and clean with a nice pool and a bbq area. Not the most extravagant place in town, but certainly the most affordable one.

A little bit out of town center, but near food and bus stops. Friendly staff, free morning cereal and dinner, and a fun bar area for meeting other backpackers. We had a private room, so felt comfortable leaving things at the hostel and no issues with noise or mess. Would be happy to stay again, thanks guys!
