We arrived late one evening and left very early the next morning so it is hard to give an accurate description. Our main gripe was with the room - after a long day's worth of travelling we weren't happy to find that our sink flooded when we used the tap, there were several cockroaches in the room and the sheets were stained. We weren't looking for a cool atmosphere or lots of things on offer - just a comfy place to sleep for a couple of hours and unfortunately we were disappointed.

Looks a bit basic from the outside, but is a very nice hostel. Staff were very helpful, wifi excellent, breakfast excellent, well-located for bus terminal and restaurants, much-needed air con too!

Things we liked - well-located, spacious rooms, nice building. Things to improve one - wifi was a bit sketchy, shower was a little small (but good temperature).

Great hostel - perfectly located to for anything and everything around Durmitor National Park. Alex and Gina are unbelievably helpful and accomodating - ranging from helping us rearrange nights at other hostels in Montenegro to treating the whole hostel to a BBQ. I couldn't recommend this place more.

We had a really really good time. Michel and his wife were great hosts who offered a service way beyond what we expected from a B&B (free bike tour of Bordeaux, tour of the amazing house and garden, and just generally helpful!).

We had a really great stay - Miguel is a great host! It's a very homely hostel and we would definitely choose Pension Amalur again when we come back to San Sebastian. We were offered discounted, secure parking as well which was very convenient.

I was a bit surprised that there were no locks on the entrances to the hostel - that is why I have said the security was average. Apart from that there were good locks on all the dorm rooms and also big lockers inside the rooms.

Dear A. We do not understand your feedback, we do have our entrance locked. In addition, we have 24h reception and security camaras. To get into the rooms area you need to have your RFID key card to get to the elevator and then again to get into your rooms In any case, many thanks for your stay. We hope you had a great trip Best U Hostels team

Exactly what we wanted. Only problems were that our bed linens hadn't been washed and our bathroom door didn't shut, meaning that going to the toilet wasn't a private experience!

Great location, nice hostel and great views. Rooms were adequate and bathroom was clean enough. Only problem was the volunteers. They were very unhelpful; they didn't seem to know anything about Quito. In the evenings on the terrace, when most guests were sitting around talking, eating and relaxing, it was only the volunteers who insisted on blaring music out, late into the night, to the extent that many guests went to their rooms as they couldn't hear the other person in their conversation.
