Mosquito hostel has a really good vibe, its clean and has a great common area where its easy to meet other travelers. The breakfast has superb. the best I ever had at a hostel and it was super nice with free dinner every night. One girl in the reception, Anja, was so sweet, she gave me really good advice for activities in the city and in the evening she was great with gather everybody together for playing games. The other girls who are working there seems super sweet as well. Thank y'all!
one of the best hostels i have stayed in for a long time. it was a hostel both for the party people and for people who just want to relaxe, the dorms were in the 1st floor and the reception, kitchen and tv room were on the 2nd floor. kitchen were very big and clean, good possibility for cooking many people at the same time. loved the stuff

It is a simple hostel, have all you need and is located in a calm and nice area, 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach. But the kitchen was small and no good opportunities to cook more then 2 pers at the same time, the dorm wasnt cozy, hot and full with mosquitos, the only bathroom for all the people in the dorm had no lock and no water. The breakfast was very poor, the pool was green... but in average an OK hostel but with no soul. Changes hostel after two nights.
At first we planed to stay for 7 days but Barra Guest Hostel and the people and stuff here changed our minds. Barra Guest Hostel feels like home, it is very clean, the stuff is so friendly and helpfull and you become very good friends with them. The breakfast is exellent with fresh fruit and good coffee. We definitely recommended this hostel and next time we visit Salvador we will returne here for sure! This hostel is close to the perfect hostel you could find.
