Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in El Calafate. Reception and transfer to the hostel. You'll be staying in a hostel with the best travellers' atmosphere.
Day 2: Breakfast. Full-day excursion to the Moreno Glacier. In the evening, we recommend you to visit Laguna Nimes to watch the marvellous regional birds.
Day 3: Free day. There are several activities that can be done in El Calafate, like horseback riding, sailing in the lake to visit Upsala Glacier or going on an excursion in a 4WD vehicle. Accommodation in the same hostel.
Day 4: Breakfast. In the morning you will take the bus to El Chalten (approx. 4 1/2 hours). In this route you will feel the vastness of Patagonia. Arrival in the village of El Chaltén. Accommodation in the best hostel in El Chaltén.
(In El Calafate a taxi will cost roughly U$ 4.- to get to the bus station. In El Chalten most of the hotels are within a few blocks of the bus station, but if you prefer to take a taxi or remise, you can take it once in the bus terminal and they will cost you aprox U$ 5.-)
Day 5: Breakfast. This day is free for you to trek in the area. We suggest trekking to the base of the Fitz Roy Mt. This is an 8-hour route with an amazing view.
Day 6: Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area.
In the afternoon you will board your bus back to El Calafate. Upon arrival you will make you way from the bus station to your hotel. (In El Calafate a taxi will cost roughly $4 to get from the bus station to your hotel.)
Day 7: Breakfast. In the morning you will arrive at the bus station for you trip to Puerto Natales. Upon arrival in the afternoon transfer by your own to your hotel and the rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy the traditional coastal town's delicious seafood. (Taxis to the bus stations will cost roughly $4)
Day 8: Breakfast. You will leave on a full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park with its granite peaks emerging dramatically out of the Patagonian plains. Today you will have the chance to explore some of the most picturesque spots of the world renowned park including Salto Grande, Laguna Amarga, Lago Pehoe, the Cuernos del Paine and of course, the famous Torres del Paine. Keep an eye out for wild guanacos as they roam the windy plains. In the evening you will return to Puerto Natales where you will stay the night.
Day 9:Breakfast. Today you will depart by bus to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival you will make you way from the bus station to your hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure. (Taxis to the bus stations will cost roughly $4)
Day 10: Breakfast. Morning bus to Ushuaia (approx. 12 hours), crossing the Strait of Magellan by ferry to Tierra del Fuego., and arriving in Ushuaia at around 8 pm. Night in a hostel.
Day 11: Breakfast. Full-day trekking excursion in Tierra del Fuego National Park, returning to Ushuaia in the evening. It's a tree hour trekking tour, including a Box Lunch and then a canoeing tour through Lapataia River. Return to the hostel in the evening.
Day 12: Breakfast. Half-day navigation through the Beagle Channel. Night in hostel.
Day 13: Breakfast. Transfer to the Airport.
