Tour Itinerary
Day 1
You will be collected from your accommodation by Jungle Tours. Travel north along one of the most scenic coastal drives in Australia to Port Douglas. Visit the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary and see the endangered cassowary and a myriad of other wildlife, including Koalas and Crocodiles. Breakfast and snacks are available for purchase. From Port Douglas drive to Mossman Gorge for a guided walk through the world Heritage Rainforest.. Enjoy a picnic lunch (included) at one of the many scenic spots along the way. Your tour continues along the Captain Cook Highway to the majestic Daintree River for your 1 hour river cruise.- you can spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Learn about the mangroves that line the banks, some of which reach amazing heights and learn of their importance of our ocean's fish nurseries. Cross the Daintree River on the famous cable ferry and drive to Cape Tribulation. You will be taken to your overnight accommodation at Cape Trib House, Ribbon room with private facilities.
Day 2
(L) You will be collected from your accommodation by Adventure North where your journey will continue to Cooktown-The Last Frontier of North Queensland. The 4WD only Bloomfield Track allows you to travel through the heart of this World Heritage Listed area providing incredible glimpses of Australia hard to imagine. Travel over rugged mountain ranges and river crossings. Look for crocodiles and other Australian wildlife and fauna. We stop for lunch at the Lions Den Hotel, one of North Queensland's oldest running bush pubs (est. 1875). Visit the mysterious Black Mountains steeped in Aboriginal legend before arriving mid afternoon in Cooktown. Enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of Cooktown and the Endeavour River from Grassy Hill-Have your camera ready. Transfer to your overnight accommodation. Day 3
Enjoy the day at your leisure to explore Cooktown, or take the optional
Aboriginal Rock Art Tour
(see below) bookings recommended.
Visit the World Class James Cook Museum, Nature Powerhouse Museum or stroll along the shores of the Endeavour River. The main street has a charm and historical atmosphere, which still prevails. You can experience the unspoilt beauty of the area, which remains much the same as when Captain Cook knew it in 1770.
This afternoon you will be collected from your accommodation and depart Cooktown via the inland road, the Mulligan Highway. Travel through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River Goldfields region. Evening meal (optional) at the Mt Molloy Hotel, a typical Queenslander pub. Arriving Cairns approx 9.30pm

An early start today as you will be collected from your accommodation by Nugal-warra Elder, Willie Gordon for a half day Rainbow Serpent Tour. Willie has a great smile, an infectious laugh and will be taking you to visit the rock art sites on his traditional country outside Hope Vale Aboriginal Community. The Rainbow Serpent Tour takes you through a dramatic landscape to six rock art sites, including an Ancestral Birth Cave and the Reconciliation Cave. Wear comfortable covered in walking shoes today as you'll be walking through Willie's country.

First day was good, alot of things to do on the way up to Cape Trib. Next day was just a long transport between Cape Trib and Cooktown and so was the third day between Cooktown and Cairns. It was up to yourself what to do the second evening and the morning on the third day. For that price I was expecting more organized tours from the touringcompany. I would call this a ripoff
