Tour Itinerary

The Tour!

8:45 am pick up to depart the city and head for Namadgi National Park.

We pass through the southern suburbs of Canberra and the village of Tharwa on our way to the Visitors Centre where we will stop.

We continue into the park for our first stop beside the Gudgenby River for morning tea.

After morning tea we will continue into the Park to commence our walk into Yankee Hat. This is where we will encounter mobs of Eastern Grey Kangaroos, grazing and at ease.

As we approach Yankee Hat you will see evidence of Aboriginal culture visible in the area. Yankee Hat rock shelter was used by Ngunawal people more than 700 years ago.
Lunch will be in the Orroral Valley then a short walk to the old homestead and the Tracking Station site.
After a late afternoon tea we then retrace our journey and return to Canberra and your accommodation.
