Tour Itinerary
The name of this rock monastery (the height of the rock is 60 m) in Turkish means "multi-colored". That was because of the medieval wall paintings which nowadays faded and almost erased. The monks' cells were cut out of the soft white limestone cliff. They were placed on 2 lewels. Cristian hermit’s lived there from 5th cent. A.D. The monastery was deserted in 18th century. With Patrick as your guide you will not miss the cave placed 250 m to the south-west, which was used a hermits' tomb. There is a beautiful view towards the sea, when you climb on top!
Please note: The price of my personal walking tours is 10 Euro per hour + fuel consumption for my driving tours (air-conditioned car).
