Tour Itinerary
ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrive at Siem Reap airport where you will be greeted by your tour guide and driver. You will then be transferred to the Siemreaprooms guesthouse or a similar guesthouse of the same standard.
After relaxing for a while in your guesthouse you will then visit the floating village of Chong Khneas on the Tonle Sap lake. During the visit to Chong Khneas you will see what life is like on a floating village, and how the locals spend their working days. After visiting the floating village you will be taken back to your guesthouse.
Evening by own arrangement.
Day 2
After breakfast in your guesthouse you will start with a guided tour of the Angkor temples. First of all, you will visit the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat which was built in the early to mid 12th century. Suryavarman II constructed Angkor Wat into a huge temple like mountain with 5 huge towers, which can be seen from afar and was dedicated to the Hindu God and Vishnu.
After visiting Angkor Wat you will continue on to the Angkor Thom complex which was built in the late 12th to early 13th century during Jayavarman VII reign and it is a Buddhism temple. Angkor Thom is a 3 km square walled and moated royal city and was the last capital of the Angkorian empire. You will also visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leper Kings, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and to Bakheng Mountain for sunset.
After seeing the sunset at Bakheng Mountain, you will be taken back to the guesthouse.
Day 3
After breakfast in your guesthouse you will then take a trip to the beautiful temple of Beng Mealea with its Jungle like atmosphere. The Beng Mealea temple has to be one of the most beautiful temples of Angkor, and due to its location, 80km from Siem Reap it is not overcrowded with people.
After visiting Beng Mealea you will head back to Siem Reap town where you can visit one of the local markets to get your last minute souvenir shopping.
Evening by own arrangement.
Day 4
On the final day, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
