7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel

As all communities around the lake, the fishing community of the Kompong Khleang undergoes dramatic and continual changes due to the seasonal flooded levels caused by the reverse flow of the Tonle Sap river. Houses are built on stilts up to 10 m high, and the village is surrounded by flooded forest.

Excursions are adapted to this changing environment depending on lake level. Learn about local activities of fishermen, unique human adaptations, and the amazing ecosystem of the Tonle Sap lake. Observe the daily village life with visit to the local market, the pagoda and the school.
