Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Toronto to Kingston

We start towards Kingston, the original capital of Upper Canada stopping in beautiful Prince Edward County for a Winery Tour and then on to the mystical “Lake of the Mountain”. From here it is a short drive to Kingston, home to Fort Henry and site of a battle between British and American forces 150 years ago!

Day 2 – Kingston to Montreal

Today we travel to the Thousand Islands where we take a cruise around area that has been famous for smuggling since the 1920’s. Then on to Montreal, City of Festivals and the largest French speaking city outside of Europe. Tonight we explore the cafes, bars, and restaurants.

Day 3 – Montreal to Quebec City

Today we drive to Quebec City, the only walled city in North America. En-route we visit Montmorency Falls, a spectacular waterfall that is actually higher than Niagara Falls. In Quebec you have free time to explore the outdoor cafes, street musicians, local art and best of all—the fine food!

Day 4 – Quebec City to Tadoussac

We travel along a spectacular highway along the St Lawrence Seaway and stop at St. Anne de Beaupre Cathedral where thousands of pilgrims come to witness miracles. We arrive at Tadoussac around 1:00 so you can experience some of the best whale watching in North America. (B)

Day 5 – Tadoussac to Montreal

We leave Tadoussac early journey back towards Montreal stopping for lunch in a quaint Quebecois village. Tonight we recommend you explore the bars in the Latin Quarter and experience some true "joie de vivre"! (B)

Day 6 – Montreal to Mont Tremblant

We leave Montreal and drive through the Laurentian Hills to Mont Tremblant arriving mid-day with time to do some canoeing, hiking, cycling or shopping. You can even ride a gondola up the mountain or try out a real luge ride. (D)

Day 7 – Mont Tremblant to Ottawa

We continue through spectacular countryside towards Ottawa—the capital of Canada stopping at Omega Park where you can see bears, buffalo, deer, wolves, boars and of course MOOSE—so keep your camera handy! We arrive around 3:00 pm and take a walking tour of the city.

Day 8 – Ottawa to Fort Coulonge

The bus leaves later so you can explore the city or join the group as we go to Victoria Island for an Aboriginal experience. Our route is a beautiful drive along the river to Esprit lodge. If you choose to raft the next day--and we recommend it--you are in good hands- since the Esprit team was voted one of top rafting companies in the world by National Geographic! (D)

Day 9 – Fort Coulonge

We take a short ride to the rafting departure point and spend the day on the river. If you decide to stay at the lodge you can swim, canoe, hike or go mountain bike riding. At the end of the day, we come back to the lodge and settle down to another great meal and relax on the patio with a cold beverage. (B, D)

Day 10 – Fort Coulonge to Algonquin Park

It’s a short drive to Madawaska Base Camp where we can explore Algonquin Park--home to over 10,000 moose, 2,000 black bears, beavers and wolves. Today is spent swimming, hiking in the forest and at the visitors centre. Tonight we enjoy an outdoor barbeque around the campfire where you can listen for the wolves howling in the distance! (B, D)

Day 11 – Algonquin Park to Toronto

This morning we take a canoe ride to Moore’s Falls. After lunch we start back passing through Algonquin Park so you have more wildlife viewing opportunities. We stop for a hike and swim at Ragged Falls. We continue to the Dorset Fire Tower for a spectacular view of the surrounding wilderness. We arrive around 6:00 pm. Remember we have a wrap up party starting at 8:00 pm—so don’t miss out! (B, D)
