Tour Itinerary

Collection from you hotel and then we drive to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall of China, which takes about 3.5 hours.

We will stop along the way and refreshments will be available for purchase. It takes about 3-4 hours to hike from the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall to the Simatai section so it is recommended for travelers to bring some food and drink with them.

The Jinshanling Great Wall lies within Hebei Province, 130km from Beijing. It used to be under the jurisdiction of Gubeilu,an important doorway in the northeast defense line of the Ming Dynasty.

It's very precipitous, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes.

To the east of the Jinshanling stretch of the Great Wall there lays the quiet and remote Simatai section. Hiking from Jinshanling Great Wall for 2 hours brings you through some of most authentic untouched landscape in China. The Wall from Jinshanling to Simetai has not be restored and remains relatively untouched since its construction during the Ming Dynasty.

We will descend from Simatai Great Wall at the end of our hike and have a traditional buffet Chinese lunch at a local restaurant on the foot of Simatai Great Wall.

Return to arrive at hotels at approximately 18:00

*Pick up time will be within 30 minutes of the time shown on your voucher, however our supplier will contact you at your hotel, the day before your tour, to confirm your actual pick up time. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
