Tour Itinerary
The Canals Towns of SUzhou
In the morning arrive at the Le Tour Hostel in Shanghai to join the group before setting off with the rest of our travelers on this day tour. On Shanghai we'll firstly hand for the one of the ancient canal towns of the region. This town we visit is still a working village, and not just a tourist attraction! Take a boat around its Venice like canals, and listen to boat driver they sing local songs. After this we head back to the bus and onto Suzhou via an authentic working Silk factory, where this old age craft will be demonstrated to you. After this we'll head to Suzhou and using the bus we'll explore several of the UNESCO listed World Heritage sites in Suzhou. On arrival in Suzhou the western guide will confirm and purchase your train ticket for tomorrows return to Shanghai. This allows you the opportunity to continue exploring Suzhou the following day.
After exploring the sites we'll head back to the Hostel before heading to the equally famous Suzhou, "Bar Street", one of the best in China! Shi Qian Jie Lu is where we'll explore the bars and restaurants sampling local specialties during a group dinner.
The following day, you can continue exploring Suzhou before using your instructions on how to get to the train station. The guide is also able to confirm for you instruction on how to return to where your staying in Shanghai as well. This affordable day tour means you can now experience the best of Suzhou, with likeminded people, and all without blowing your budget!
