Kathmandu -Tibet Everest Base Camp EKathmandu

*DAY 1 Kathmandu ELhasa*

*On arrival at Lhasa'a Gonggar airport at around 13.30 local time, meet our Tibetan guide who will drive you to Lhasa (93 km). Overnight hotel.*

*DAYS 2 E3 Lhasa*

*Visit the Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera monasteries, the Norbulinka and, of course, the famous Jokhang temple including the surrounding Barkhor Market.*

*DAY 4 Lhasa EGyantse *

*Begin your overland adventure with a full day drive to Gyantse. Along the way you cross the Kamba la (4,794m) and the Karo la pass (5,010m), both with spectacular views. After the Kamba la you come to Yamdrok tso, also known as the Turquoise Lake. You'll definitely want to have your camera ready. Altitude 3,900m.*

*DAY 5 Gyantse EShigatse *

*A busy day. In the morning visit the Gyantse Stupa and monastery, followed by a two-hour drive to Shigatse. Here you will see the giant Buddha image in the famous Tashilumpo Monastery Ethe seat of the Panchen Lama. Altitude 3,800m. *

*DAY 6 Shigatse ELhatse *

*The journey today brings you over two high passes with fine views. For Lunch, we stop in the small town of Lhatse. Depending on how much time we spend during the morning in Shigatse we might stay overnight in Lhatse. Altitude 4350 m. / *

*DAY 7 Lhatse ERombuk *

*The trip begins with the Tsho La (4,500m) and ends with a truly stunning view of Mt Everest from Rombuk monastery (5,050m). Spend the evening relaxing Eor take a stroll around the monastery. *

*DAY 8 Rombuk ELao Tingri*

*Get up early and start the 2-3 hour leisurely walk (one way) to the famous base-camp (5,200m). In the early afternoon, head to Lao Tingri (4,200m). This is a small Tibetan town that offers the best view. *

*DAY 10 Lao Tingri EZhang Mu EKathmandu *

*Make sure you have some photos left for the panoramic view of the Himalayan range as you cross over the Lalung La pass (5,050m). In the evening relax in Kathmandu*
