Shaanxi Provincial Museum
This history museum, housed in a magnificent Confucian Temple, features more than 370,000 pieces of historical relics, mainly from the Zhou to the Tang periods (1100B.C. to 907 A.D.).
Xi'an Forest of Steles
Situated at the bottom of the City wall, the Forest of Steles is the heaviest collection of books in the world. The earliest texts date back to the Han dynasty. It is a treasure house of Chinese calligraphic art.
Ancient City Wall
The Xi'an City Wall is the best-preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. It is also one of the most important landmarks of Xi'an city. The original foundation of the Xi'an City Wall was based on the ruins of the Imperial City Wall of Chang¡¯an City--the capital of the Tang Dynasty. In 904 A.D. when the capital of the Tang Dynasty was moved eastward, the Governor-general Han Jian had the city renovated and turned it into an army garrison and named it "New City".
Day Itinerary
To meet and pick you up from the hotel around 9:00am.
Visit the City Wall at 9:30am for 1 hour.
Then visit Forest of Steles 10:30am.
Lunch Time is at 12:00am.
Departing for Bell Tower Square.
Transfer to Provincial Museum around 15:30pm.
Finish all the spots at 17:30pm and drive you to the hotel. (L)
