Tour Itinerary
It is amazing to see how many birds gather around the river as a refuge in the remnants of the Choco forest.
We get our boots on and wade through the stream being surprized about the Blue-Crowned Motmots with there nestholes in the banks and the Trogons (3 diffferent species) sitting above us as if meditating. The Gray-backed Hawk skreeks, then suddenly a flock of Pale Mandabilled Ararsaries come flying over, what a spectacular sight. A flock of Guans are loud and conspicious while the Little Tinamou sings softly it's monotonous tune and hides under the bushes. The Ornero is building it's clay-oven-like house and a Pacific Pigmee Owl is moaing in daytime. The orange fronted Barbet, Thick-billed Eufonia, Masked Tityra and Great Antshrike ara often spotted . After the river we visit a connected lake with loads of good birds like Greepes, Gallinules, Egrests, Night Herons, Ducks and King Fisers
