Tour Itinerary
Essential Egypt
is an ideal solution for someone who has never before seen this ancient land. It takes them on an eight-day exploration of some of the most famous and notable sites.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Egypt
our representatives will meet you at Cairo International Airport. You will be transferred
by an air-conditioned modern vehicle to your hotel. You will stay the night in Cairo.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids/Egyptian Museum
After breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a trip to the Egyptian Museum. You can
then visit the Pyramids of Giza and the great Sphinx, one of the seven wonders of the ancient
world. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a camel ride and to have lunch in a local restaurant.
That evening, you will transfer to the Giza railway station to take a sleeper train to Aswan.
You will enjoy dinner and spend the night on the train.
Day 3: Nile Cruise from Aswan
On day 3 you will be met and greeted in Aswan, then transferred to the location where you
will embark on your Nile cruise. Then enjoy visiting the world famous Aswan High Dam and,
the awesome Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor.
End the sightseeing at the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone
quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.
Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing
Sail to KomOmbo, have breakfast on board and visit the KomOmbo Temple. Sail to Edfu,
lunch on board and after that visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Temple of Horus in Edfu.
Take afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5: Edfu/Esna
Sail to Luxor, have breakfast on board then you will visit the West Bank in Luxor.
Take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings,
then to mortuary Hatshepsut Temple, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom
at El-Deir El-Bahari. End your sightseeing day with a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon.
Lunch on board your Nile cruise. Enjoy afternoon tea during sailing. Dinner on board overnight in Luxor.
Day 6: Luxor Sightseeing
Enjoy breakfast aboard the cruise before disembarkation and then you will be accompanied by
your guide to visit Karnak Temple complex and the Luxor Temple on the East bank of the River Nile
. Later you will be transferred to Luxor railway station to board the sleeper train back to Cairo.
Have your dinner and overnight on board sleeper train in your private compartment ( twin beds).
Day 7: Back to Cairo
You will arrive in Cairo, where you will be transferred from the Giza station to your hotel. After check-in,
you will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 8: Final Departure
On the last day of the Egypt Holiday Tour you will enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then transfer to Cairo
International Airport for final departure.
