Tour Itinerary

Pick-up from your hotel at 07:30 AM to start your morning visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. We'll leave the car behind and venture forth on a horse or a camel for a half an hour trek into the ancient history of Giza Plateau. Later we drive to Memphis the capital of the ancient kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of ancient Egypt.

Break for lunch, and then we drive Sakkara, the vast Necropolis of ancient Memphis. Sakkara has the first Pyramid and the world's oldest stone structure.

Later we go further into the desert, to explore more of Egypt's wonders, in the fascinating Necropolis of Dahshur. There are two Pyramid groups in Dahshur. The two biggest Pyramids are the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. The Bent Pyramid gets its name from the fact that the angle of the slope changes 3/4 on the way up. The Red Pyramids name comes from the limestone from which it was built.

Before the tour ends, we'll drive on your way to the felucca harbor, to experience the beauty of the Nile, the tranquility of sailing, and the myriad of colors in the sky changing as the sun sets.

Transfer back to your hotel. Tour Ends.

The "Desert & Nile Splendors" tour includes:

1. Pick-up and transfers from/to your hotel in Cairo.

2. All transportation around the mentioned sites in an air-conditioned bus.

3. Professional Egyptologist tour guide, fluently speaking the language of your choice.

4. Half-hour trip of Camel Trekking or horse ridding, in the desert of Giza plateau.

5. Buffet lunch (excluding drinks).

6. One and half hour trip by felucca.

7. Light refreshments on board of the felucca.

8. All service charges and taxes.

Tour Price & payment

• The tour price is $85.00 USD per person.

Single travelers will be charged for an extra $60.00 USD, as a single supplement.

• A 25% supplement applies during the peak periods (From December 23rd till January 7th and from April 3rd till April 30th).

• Full payment shall be settled prior to the tour date.

Notes:

• Our "Desert & Nile Splendors" tour departs everyday, however confirmation in advance is still highly recommended.

• The tour can be added to any of our tour packages as an extension, depending on your time-frame and interests.

• All of our tours can be customized to fit your time, budget, and interests.

• Optional day trips and activities are available upon request and include the Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids, shopping at the Khan El-Khalily Market, an excursion to the Fayoum Oasis, and much more.

• All day trips leave in small groups and are accompanied by a professional tour guide.

• There are no time constraints for any of the day trips. The time spent depends only upon our guests' desires and the official opening/closing times of the sites.

• Accommodation nights can be arranged upon request.
