Course overview:

The Rescue Diver program will test your ability to solve problems under pressure and give you the tools to deal with difficult situations under the water and on the surface before they develop into crisis. Teh aim of this course is to take you more responsible and self-confident diver and a better trustworthy buddy.

Your first day will consists of diving and theory to make you friendly with terms such as: a panicking diver, a surfacing unconscious diver, out of air drills ...and many others. You will quickly learn how to identify a stressed diver and how to deal with risks associated with thsi situation.

The two next days are fully dedicated to simulating emergency scanarios, conducting searches, managing the availability of possible help , learning how to administer oxygen and practicing in-water artificial ventilation techniques. This all is fun, but also an exam, so you must me always ready for a surprising and sudden events.

Equipment included:

Mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, diving suit, regulator ,tank and weights, depth gauge, compass, slate, underwater light and 50 feet of personal line for underwater use.

Worldwide PADI Certificate

Excluded:

Manual book - 32 Euro.

Requirements:

Must be 18 year old. Must be Advanced Open Water and have at least 25 logged open water dives.

Must present the Emergency First Response certification (Note: our Dive Center offers 1-day Emergency First Response training).

Diving is a sport that requires a good physical and mental health! It is possible to download a medical statement This form you fill in with your instructor on the spot. However, read the statement carefully beforehand and in case of doubt, or if you have any questions answered with YES, you need to consult a physician. Let him or her sign the statement for your specific problem if he or she declares you fit for diving. This will prevent delays in Dahab and your course! Divers that already have their certification are responsible for their own medical fitness for diving. In case of doubt, please contact your physician!
