Luxor is the worlds greatest open - air museum, filled with the awe - inspiring monuments of ancient civilization. It contains nearly one third of the world's antiquities. There is hardly a place in Luxor which has not a relic that reflects the greatness of the ancient Egyptians and their civilization that dates back to seven thousand years ago.
During the new kingdom (1567-1085) the capital of Egypt was Wesset which means "mace" to express the extreme authority of this city, then the name was changed to "Thebes" and Homer described it as "City of the Hundred Gates". The Arabs called it "Luxor" means" The city of Palaces" because they were impressed by its magnificent edifices and huge buildings. It still attracts hordes of visitors from all over the world to enjoy the monuments of the eternal city and its temples with their towering pillars
Luxor consist of two Banks of the River Nile
On the east bank of the Nile, in the city of the living, Luxor Temple, Karnak temple, Luxor Museum and Mummification Museum, greet the sunrise. The sunset on the west bank throws shadows through the City of the Dead: the Tombs of the nobles, the Valley of the Kings, valley of the Queen, Hatshepsut Temple at El-Deir El-Bahari, Madinat Habu Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Ramesseum Temple, Valley of the Artisans and the Seti Temple. Recently, a bridge connecting the east and west banks has been constructed to speed up tourist traffic to the west bank. The visitor of Luxor can make a journey to enjoy the wonderful tourist sites of Luxor soaring in a Hot Air balloon above the temples on the east and west banks to discover Luxor from the Sky. We organize daily balloon journeys about 45 minutes on air which last for one and half hour.

Day 1: Welcome to Luxor and the start of your holiday!
Arrival at Luxor International Airport or Luxor Railway Station, keep your eyes open for our representative with www.egypteasytrip.com sign, as we pick you up and take you to our hotel in Luxor, if you are already in Luxor you can come to the meeting point at the Hotel, Info Meetings. Day 2: Luxor
Free day at Leisure or you can take an optional excursion to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples! About three kilometers from Temple of Luxor stands the vast monumental area of Karnak, which the Greeks called Hermonthis. The archaeological site includes three divided areas separated by a rough brick boundary. In time, the dimensions of each area / complex changed and the Pharaohs who succeeded to the throne left their mark by extending the temple or adding halls and chapels. The structure of the three holy complexes remains the same, one is dedicated to Amon and is astounding of it dimensions. Luxor Temple, all that remains of its glorious past is the temple that the ancient Egyptians built to the glory of Amon ra, king of the gods, and which they called "Southern harem of Amon". Brought back to light in 1883 by Gaston Maspéro, the temple is 260 meters long and its construction was basically commissioned by two Pharaohs, Amon-Ofis III who started it in the XIV century B.C. and Ramses II who completed it adding the porticoed courtyard with its axis moved eastwards, and no longer north-south as in the case of the rest of the temples. The temple of Luxor was joined to that of karnak by a long stone-paved dromos, a drome and a processional avenue, flanked by sphinxes with rams heads that the XXX Dynasty replaced with sphynexes with human heads. Also in the evening of that day an option to Sound and Lights at Karnak Temple enjoy an enchanting time at one of Egypt's finest outdoor spectacles at Karnak Temple. Here the history of the great Pharaohs of the 18th and 19th dynasties is narrated with dramatic sound and light effects. Day 3: Luxor
Free day at Leisure or take chance in the early morning of that day there is option to Experience the unforgettable joy of flying in a Hot Air Balloon. View the Magnificent Tombs and Temples and the surrounding countryside whilst peacefully drifting over the historical monuments. See the scenes of daily Life and feel the atmosphere of ancient times. A hot-air balloon flight is unique from all other experiences of flight as there is no sensation of motion. Traveling at heights of up to 1500 feet, the feeling is one of peace and tranquility. The earth slowly descends and rotates below you. Within moments after lifting off you become at ease while you effortlessly drift over the treetops and the spectacular Luxor landscape. Day 4: Luxor
Free day at Leisure, or you can do this option, start full Day Excursions drive on through the lush countryside and village to visit Abydos, the renowned Temple of Seti I. here you will see the famed " Tablet of Abydos " which lists seventy-six Egyptian Kings in chronological order. A fascinating day to experience two distinctly different styles of Temples, After finish your visits to Abydos Temple in the way back to Luxor visit Denderah temple, see this beautiful Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to the Goddess of Love Hathor. Here there are striking bas-reliefs of Cleopatra and her Son Caesarian, the only Temple in Egypt to portray this famous queen and her Son. Denderah is also the only Temple in Egypt where the Roof is accessible to enable you to enjoy a view of the area. After visiting the Temple drive back to your Hotel in Luxor. Overnight in Luxor

Day 5: Luxor
Free day at leisure, in the Morning of that day you have the Opportunity if you go on that option, start half Day Excursions drive around 120 K.M south of Luxor to visit Edfu Temple, It lies in Edfu town, around 110 km north of Aswan on the west bank of the Nile. It dates back to the Ptolemaic period. It was dedicated to the worship of god Horus represented as a falcon. It is one of the most beautiful Egyptian temples, distinguished by its huge splendid structure that blends Pharaonic and Greek architecture. Its grandeur competes with Luxor temples. It is the second largest temple after Karnak. It also houses the Nilometer and a huge pylon at the entrance. It was discovered in 1860 by the famous archaeologist Mariette. On its walls are reliefs which depict the history of Ptolemy's and reflect religious belief and art style of the period. Day 6: Luxor
Free day at leisure, you have option to cross to the west bank of the Nile again. there are other fascinating Tombs and Temples to visit such as Madinet Habu, For many years Madinet Habu was none other than a rich quarry and source of large square stones. During the Christian era, a village, called Djeme by the Copts, rose in this area. It occupied a large part of the site where the temple originally stood and in this way, it enabled numerous vestiges to be salvaged. The monumental complex of Medinet Habu included the Temple of Ramses III, in front of which stood the template of Thot-Mosis I and the Chapels of the deities that worshipped Amon. One is struck with awe by the almost military grandeur of the Southern Gate, known as the Royal Pavilion, which was preceded by a landing-stage on a canal that used to connect it to the Nile. Valley of the Nobles, in the three neighboring districts of Assassif, Khokhah and Cheik-Abd-el-Gurnah lay the imposing necropolises of the nobility of the Middle Empire dynasties. As compared to the Pharaohs' tombs, these tombs are extremely simple from the architectural point of view and all feature the same layout: they are preceded by an open-air terrace, followed by a vestibule whose painted walls describe the earthly functions of the owner. A corridor then leads to an alcove which very often contains the statue of the dead person, sometimes together with his wife of relations. The subjects illustrated in these tombs are characterized by an extraordinary freshness, vitality and realism and provide accurate, valuable evidence of what court life was like in ancient Egypt. The most frequent topics were funeral banquets, with music and dancing, farm work, craftsmanship and daily life in general. Valley of the Queens, The valley of the Queens known today as Biban el Harim opens up at about one and a half kilometers south west of the Valley of Kings. The ancient Egyptians gave in the evocative name of Set Neferu, meaning "seat of beauty:. From 1903 to 1906 the Italian archaeological expedition led by Ernesto. Schiaparelli discovered about eighty tombs, many of which were seriously damaged; some of them featured traces of fire whereas others were reduced to stables. They contained the mortal remains of queens and princes from the XIX to the XX Dynasty; therefore, they can be dated back from 1300 B.C. to 1100 A.D. Overnight in Luxor

Day 7: Luxor
Free day at leisure, today you can explore Luxor city, shopping, relax at your hotel swimming pool, or you go for this option to have short excursion to Luxor Museum, which contains the Master Pieces of Egyptian Arts found in Thebes. Or Mummification Museum, The museum itself contains hall for showing the mummification operation, measures about: 360M2, and contains 19 for the museum showing. That hall had done as a royal tomb built with more careful with slight light and as a new style in Architectural. The mummification museum considered to be one of the museums which showing the idea of mummification just like the ancient Egyptians as an operation from beginning to finishing. Or you can sail by traditional Egyptian Boat known locally as a (Felucca), and then sail to Banana Island where you will see the vegetation of the banana trees and other local trees (such as palm, oranges, Mango and etc. . .) In addition to other local crops, animals and birds and beautiful landscape, beside you will view the activities of locals such as fishing in small boats and animals grazing. On the way going and back you will be able to view the green areas, buildings and hotels are located on the two banks of the river Nile. And also enjoy the sunset and afternoon tea on Felucca.
