Tour Itinerary
In March 1933, Heinrich Himmler ordered the construction of the one of Germany's first concentration camps in a small town near Munich; Dachau. The first 5,000 prisoners were political enemies of the Nazi regime.
In the following years, other social, ethnic, and racial enemies were imprisoned as Dachau went on to become the only concentration camp to remain active during the entire Third Reich period (1933-1945). At the time of liberation, over 200,000 prisoners from more than 30 nations had been imprisoned there.
During the 1960's, the Dachau memorial was founded to investigate their plight. On this 5-hour tour with memorial-accredited, native English speaking guides, you will explore what has become one of the most important centers of remembrance, contemplation, and learning in Germany today.
Ticket price includes all transportation costs (save up to €8.80) and a qualified guide.

This was a fantastic experience. I was moved by the tour, and my tour guide Marcin was extraordinarily knowledgeable and passionate about his job. I am so glad I did an official tour instead of touring alone, as I believe that such a dark part of humanity needs to be explored in depth to truly understand it better.

I don't think that fun factor is an appropriate question for something like the Dachau tour, it's not fun just informative. Kurt was a great guide, but it would have been nice to have a bit more time to wander solo through the museum there, and even have time to look at the book shop at the end.

Everything was perfect the only problem is that i had booked it through internet and i got an e-mail without telling me the time and the meeting point so i had to pay a long distance call from my country to find it out. I printed this e-mail but the girls said they hadn t seen it before and they didn t know if i had been charged or not so i paid 21 euros. The girls were very kind and i do not blame them but the company service was poor. I hope somebody will straighten it out
