Tour Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hostel in Antigua and drive you approximately 1 and half hours to the foot of the Pacaya Volcano. Once we arrive, we will hike up the volcano for around an hour and reach the crater wall. Then we descend into the crater and walk among the hardened lava and the newly erupting red hot lava. After refreshments and a short rest, we will make our way back the same route to our van which will then bring us back to Antigua and you will be dropped off at your hostel.

Important Information

* Wear strong and tough shoes (no flip flops) as the hardened lava is very sharp. It would also be recommendable to wear long pants

* Bring a flashlight as it will get caught in the dark on the sunset tour

* Bring a light snack and drinks or buy them at the foot of the volcano, because during the hike you won't be able to buy anything

* If you happen to travel during the rainy season, bring a raincoat or a poncho
