Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel for the overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi
Morning tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort . Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight stay in Delhi hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi
Morning tour Delhi and visit Located on Janpath, National museum is one of the treasure houses of the our glorious past. The museum has a large collection of excavated items many of which date back to 2nd and 3rd century B.C. The museum has separate section for the Harrapa (Indus valley civilization) collection. National Rail Museum is located In Chanakya Puri. It is unique in its collection of rail engines and locomotives. India was among the countries which had railway lines since 19th century. and half day free overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 - Delhi - Jaipur (260 kms - 5 hrs)
Morning drive to Jaipur. On arrive check in at hotel. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 5 - Jaipur
Morning visit Amber Fort with an Elephant ride till the main entrance of the fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Rest of the day is free and optional visit to Chokhi Dhani resort - built in ethnical rajsthani style and specially in the evening they organize lot of activities like, camel ride, Puppet show, Snake charmer and handloom cloths etc. alongwith specialised Rajasthani/continental Dinner as well. Return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 6 - Jaipur - Agra (245 kms - 5/6 hrs)
Drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri (Abandoned city) enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Continue drive to Agra and upon arrival rest of the day is free and stay overnight at Agra hotel.
Day 7 - Agra - Delhi (206 kms - 4 hrs)
Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. After noon drive to Delhi. Transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey.
