Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in New Delhi
After customs formalities you will receive your driver to Delhi airport to greet you on arrival in India. Transfer to the hotel. Registration formalities at the hotel and overnight in Delhi.
Day 2: Visit New Delhi and Old Delhi
This morning, after breakfast, tour of Old Delhi. The Red Fort and Jama Masjid mosque are the most important monuments. You can also visit Chandni Chowk bazaar and countless as the Spice Market, the market for paper, jewelry etc.. Later, at the option of visiting New Delhi: Humayun's Tomb, a famous Mughal Emperor, Qutub Minar, the "tower of victory, also the highest stone tower across India, the imposing gate of the India and Rastrapathi Bhawan, the residence of the Viceroy has now become ministerial buildings or the Laxmi Narayan temple, where Gandhi had the habit of coming to collect. Return to your hotel in the evening for a second night in Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi / Mandawa (250 kms / 5H)
Morning departure after breakfast for Shekawati. On the road you can also visit the Rani Sati temple in Jhunjunu. Arrive at your hotel where you can explore the havelis, their frescoes and their typical architecture. Overnight at Mandawa.
Day 4: Sekhawati Mandawa / Bikaner (200 kms / 4H)
After breakfast, drive to the desert to Bikaner. Registration at the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Bikaner Junagarh Fort built in the fifteenth century by Raja Raj Singh, Lalgarh Palace and the camel breeding farm. You can also visit Deshnok, the Temple of Rats (30 kms from Bikaner). Overnight in Bikaner.
Day 5: Bikaner / Jaisalmer (330 kms / 6H)
Depart for Jaisalmer in the morning. On the road, visiting possible Ramdeora Temple. Arrive Jaisalmer and check-in. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset from the viewpoint of Cenotaphs. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Jaisalmer / Khuri Dunes (50 kms / 1 hour)
In the morning visit of the citadel known for its famous temples and palaces of yellow sand. Visit Fort, Manak Chowk ki Patwon haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli Lake Gadisar. Late afternoon drive to Khuri village for the desert safari. Overnight in pension Khuri village including a welcome drink, the camel safari, Rajasthan typical buffet, dancing and folk music and accommodation. Overnight in the desert (* will not be possible to use your car this evening for a dinner out).
Day 7: Jaisalmer / Jodhpur (280 kms / 4H)
After breakfast depart for Jodhpur. Arriving in the city blue and check into hotel. In the afternoon program: visit Mehrangarh Fort, a magnificent complex of palaces. Then visit the cenotaph of marble, Jaswant Thada, raised in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Jodhpur / Udaipur (280 Kms / 5 H)
Depart for Udaipur. En route visit the famous Jain Temple in Ranakpur. This famous temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Rishabdev, the first Jain Tirthankar. Arriving in the White City and check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Udaipur
Reputedly the most romantic cities in India, Udaipur is also a historic place in the foreground. Also known as the "city of lakes, Udaipur is also famous for Rajasthani cuisine. The city tour includes the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, the Bagor ki Haveli, the Saheliyon ki Bari otherwise known as the Jardin des Demoiselles. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Udaipur / Pushkar (270 Kms / 4 H)
After breakfast, depart for Pushkar. Arriving in the holy city and check into hotel. Visit the sacred lake and the Brahma temple, unique in India. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Pushkar / Jaipur (130km / 2 H)
After breakfast, depart for Jaipur. Arrival in the pink city, check into hotel and visit the City Palace and in front of Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory founded in the eighteenth century by the Maharajah Raja Sawai Jai Singh II. You will finish this wonderful day with a visit to the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a veritable emblem of the capital of Rajasthan. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Jaipur
After breakfast, you will follow the Water Palace to get an elephant to Amber Fort, a real architectural jewel and capital of the kingdom before the founding of Jaipur in 1727. Rest of afternoon free you probably spend a few purchases. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Jaipur / Agra (240 Kms / 4 H)
Morning departure for Agra via Bharatpur (Keoladeo National Park GhannaHattiin) and Fatehpur Sikri. The buildings of great finesse to succeed in the old Mughal capital: the Diwan - i - Am, Diwan - i - Khas, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Birbal's Palace, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and the tomb of famous Sufi saint; Sheikh Salim Chisti. Evening excursion to the Taj Mahal which will delight you with its splendor at twilight. Overnight in Agra.
Day 14: Agra / Orchha (240 kms / 5H)
After breakfast, drive towards Orccha. After you check into the hotel, visit the main attraction of the city, the fort, located on an island in the Betwa River. Then the temple Raja Ram Chaturbhuj Laxminarayan and a unique harmony. Orccha has 14 chhattri or memorial in honor of its successive governors. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 15: Orccha / Khajuraho (120 kms / 2 hours)
Visit the morning of Chaunsat Yogini Temple, the oldest of this large set (900 AD) and dedicated to the goddess Kali. Then you head to the Kanderiya Mahadeo Temple, one of the finest examples of art Chandela, whose approach impresses flanked by lions on the north by the elephants flank the southern part. You will end finally discovered the temple dedicated to Shiva, the lingam Matangeshwara which measures 8 feet high. Overnigh stay at hotel.
Day 16: Departure from Khajuraho
The visit Khajurao offers many possibilities from which you choose. The Ghantai Temple, a small Jain temple in ruins, Duladeo Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, found after about 1 km from a small track, Chitragupta Temple whose side is facing the rising sun and for this reason dedicated to the sun god, Surya. The Lakshmana Temple which is dedicated to Vishnu, one of the oldest in the western part (about 930-950 AD).
