ITINERARY
Day 1: Dublin to Cork
Begin our day in the world famous Guinness Brewery then down through Tipperary, visiting the Rock of Dunamase, to Cork City. Time to explore our super-cool southern capital and get some last minute Christmas shopping and fill up you stockings! Overnight in Cork City Centre, European capital of Culture 2005.
Day 2: Cork to Killarney
After beakfast we'll drive out to exclusive Kinsale, Irelands riviera and culinary capital. View Charles Fort and the lovable little village. After lunch we'll be kissing the legendary Blarney Stone atop Blarney Castle. Souvenir heaven! We will cross the Cork and Kerry Mountains to Killarney, Irelands premier tourist town. Music Galore. Consider an enjoyable Horse & carriage ride through the often snowy National Park on the world famous Jaunting Cars (optional).
Day 3: Killarney to Ring of Kerry Christmas Eve!
Today we'll embark on a full day tour of the Ring of Kerry, Irelands most celebrated scenic drive. Molls Gap. Torc waterfalls, sensational scenery. In late afternoon we’ll check into your very own Irish village hostel in Annascaul. Party with the locals and the returned Irish emigrants. A warm welcome awaits, including a warm, complimentary mulled-wine reception
Day 4: Christmas day by the wild atlantic.
We’ll have a hearty breakfast and open our gifts with Santa Claus! Then we’ll embark on a nice half day tour of the Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head, Irelands most celebrated scenic drive. We'll provide with you a nice packed lunch. Maybe join the locals on their traditional Christmas Day ocean swim!! See the Sleeping Giant Island and the sights of Tom Cruises 1992 epic, Far and Away. Then its back to the Randy Leprechaun for our professionally cooked, 4 course Christmas Dinner, wine included!! Ho Ho Ho…
Day 5: Dinle Peninsula to Galway
Onwards then. Today you will have the wild atlantic ocean by your side as we cruise down the West Coast. Run around the lunar landscape of the Burren before gazing in awe at the majesty that is the cliffs of moher. You should take free time this evening to explore the sights and sounds of lively colourful Galway, maybe walk to see the Spanish Arch and Claddagh area.
Day 6: Galway to Historic Derry
Drive through enchanting Sligo visiting the sacred grave of our national Poet, Nobel laureate WB Yeats. Explore the vast archaeological and cultural richness of Irelands North West Coast. Cruise through th Blestack mountain range. Overnight in charming Derry, setting for Bloody Sunday tragedy in 1972 and the great siege 1613. Magical scenery.
Day 7: Donegal Day Tour
Begin today with an excellent in-depth walking tour of Derry's walls (1601) and the well known Bogside district. After Lunch we'll go off on a marvellous half day tour of Donegal, and the divine Glenveagh National Park. Remote beauty! Overnight in Historic Derry.
Day 8: Derry to Belfast
A glorious touring day! Cruise the Beautiful North Coast. You'll see the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (seasonal), walk the Giants Causeway and take fantastic photos of Dunluce Castle. Magical views f rathlin Island and our celtic cousins across the sea in Scotland 12 miles away. Overnight in brilliant Belfast, one of Lonely Planets top 10 must see destinations.
Day 9: Belfast to Dublin
Begin our days adventures with an optional black taxi tour. Drogheda where youll see the preserved head of St. Oliver Plunkett (executed 1681) in St. Peters Cathedral. Celtic crosses at Monasterboice. Cross the border at South Armagh. A fascinating evening in Dublin awaits. Irish dancing and music
Day 10: Wicklow mountins day tour
Begin with a nice Dublin city tour by coach, then out to the country side. We visit the famed monastic ruins of Glendalough in the wicklow mountains, see why Mel Gibson chose this idyllic location to be the setting for Braveheart! A truly memorable day out together in lovely lush irish countryside. Return to Dublin. Tour ends.
