Tour Itinerary
Pickup from hotel/hostel.
You MUST contact us immediately after reservation and provide us with the name of your hotel in order to organise pickup service (central Rome hotels/hostels only).
Begin with a visit to the Basilica of St. Mary Major built in 352AD. Continue to the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome.
Visit the "Santa Scala" (Holy Stairs) climbed by Jesus Christ on his way to be judged by Pontius Pilate. The stairs are in Rome now thanks to Saint Helena the mother of the first christian emperor Constantine, who brought them back piece by piece from Jerusalem in the 5th century!
From the sacred stairs pass through Porta di San Sebastiano to the ancient Appian Way to the Chapel of "Domine Quo Vadis". Where Jesus appeared to St. Peter while he was fleeing martyrdom in Rome, leaving behind miraculous footprints that are still visible today!
We will then visit the largest of the Roman catacombs, St. Callixtus for a guided tour of approximately 45 minutes.
On your return into Rome you pass by the famous Baths of Caracalla.
