Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Departure from your Hotel in Marrakech, with pick up at around 08:00 hrs and we travel to Imintanout, at the foothills of the Atlas mountains.

When we arrive, we have a traditional tea making demonstration and enjoy some fresh, hot Minty tea and Cake and we meet all participants for the day.

The group is divided into 3 small teams who are going to perform different tasks to prepare everyone for lunch.

Team 1 will make Tagines, a meat Stew which is enjoyed daily for lunch in Morocco.

Team 2 will make the traditional Bread to accompany the Tagines.

Team 3 will take the Donkeys to the village to fetch fresh water from the Well.

At lunchtime, we all sit down and enjoy the Fresh lunch which we all helped to prepare, eating local style!

After lunch, we all go for a walk through the village to meet people and explore and walk that delicious lunch off!

Later, we will have a teamaking contest and the winner will recieve a prize!

During the evening, you will be able to learn how to make Handmade Couscous, which you then cook into a beautiful meal with Meat and vegetables. Handmade Couscous is a totally different experience to the pre-cooked Couscous which is most usually sold in supermarkets in Europe and the USA.

We then enjoy the evening meal and afterwards we join in with some Berber Music.

The night is spent in private rooms nearby.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast, we then set about for our second day of learning about the Berber culture.

Today, you will be able to learn about and make Almond batter.

Of course, you will also enjoy lunch today.

During the afternoon, we can learn how to write English names in both Berber (Tamazight) and Arabic, as well as enjoying some afternoon Mint tea.

Our transportation is then ready to take us back to Marrakech and we usually arrive back into Marrakech at around 18:00 hrs or so, depending upon traffic conditions.
