Tour Itinerary
This tour is operated by a fully licensed and fully insured Moroccan tour company.
The tour vehicle and guide meets you at your Marrakech city hotel or Hostel at around 08:30hrs.
The tour begins with a photo opportunity and history of the Koutoubia Mosque, towering 69 meters over the Marrakech Medina. A fine example of the Hispano-moorish architecture.
The tour then leads onwards to a visit to the Saadian tombs,
The Saadian tombs, are beautifully decorated 16th Century tombs, decorated with colourful tiles, arabic scripts and intricate carvings. Only re-discovered in 1917 after being sealed up for hundreds of years.
The tour's next stop is the Moroccan art museum, a private museum in a charming Spanish-Moroccan house. With it's basket work, Jewllery and textiles, this is an insight into the intricate works of the Moroccan culture.
Continuing onwards, the tour visits the Bahia Palace (Badia palace).
Built at the end of the 19th Century, we spend 1 hour here, learning about the stunning Stuccos, the paintings and the Islamic Mosaics.
The coloured, carved Cedar wood roofs and the Moorish-style gardens are also a great attraction.
The tour ends here at 12 noon, Mid-day, so you can spend as long as you wish in the gardens.
