Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Departing early from Marrakech you will descend South and right through the length of the Atlas Mountains at a height of 2260m on the winding Tishka Pass. The views are breathtaking - not only in terms of the physical natural beauty, but you will also see the Berber villages of the Atlas, and the traditional houses and daily lives of the Berber people.
Your first stop is the ancient Kasbah Ait Benhaddou bridging the mountains with the Sahara, before moving on to Ouarzazate - the gateway to the Sahara - where you will stop for lunch.
The terrain changes drastically from here - from the height and beauty of the mountains to the arid moonscape of the Sahara, where you will eventually reach your destination of Zagora via Draa Valley. You will travel to the Berber camp on a camel in time for sunset, and experience a Berber evening with incredible and compulsory stargazing.
Day 2
From here, and after your second sunrise camel trek, you will make your way to your second night's stop in Dades Gorges where you can relax in the tranquility of the nature that surrounds you.
Day 3
Onwards to another Gorge - this time the mighty Todra - where you will spend some time, before heading down to the Sahara that you may only have seen in films. Erg Chebbi are the giant sand dunes that surround the town of Merzouga - a Berber town where you will spend your second night. You will take the traditional method of transport - camel - to the Berber camp in time for sunset, and enjoy an evening of Berber hospitality under the stars of the Sahara.
Day 4
After breakfast you will take another camel trek for sunrise before making your journey up North and once again through the Atlas mountains - arriving in the bright lights of Marrakech in the evening.

Driver spoke no English (only Arabic and French). Poor service, but he did take us to buy carpets, skarfs, jewlery, etc. Camel ride on 1st night was a 30 min walk to outskirts of a town with some basic tents and thin matresses on the ground (cold, so bring own sleeping bag). Breakfast was left over bread from night before. On 2nd day we were left in carpark for 3 hrs waiting for 2nd minibus (1st driver knew no details). Do the 3 day tour instead. Expect little & you will not be dissapointed.
