The driver will drop you off in the village, the muleteers will deal with your luggage, food & all other equipments that we usually offer for our clients.
Within half an hour, you start the trek with an experienced mountain guide through the berber villages following a mule track which will take us to the mountain hut via the shrine sidi Chamhrouch (2500m) where you will have you picnic lunch prepared in advance by our cook.
After lunch, a short break, then we continue toward the refuge (3200m). Our staff will be waiting for you with a tasty glass of mint tea & a smile.
The hot shower is available to clean you body and be ready for the next day and our cook will prepare a tasty hot meal for us.

During the summer months, the night can be spent in a tent, if you wish.Day 2:
Toubkal refuge - summit Return to Imlil
We wake up early to avoid the suns full power, breakfast around 5.00am and start the ascent climb at 5.30am.
Step by step we get to the point above the hut where you have a short break with nuts, water & organges etc..
After 3 or 4 hours of walking up the hill, you will be able to see all the high atlas mountains, it's valleys & berber villages.
A break of 45min on the summit will allow us to take pictures & enjoy the views before we start going down to the hut.

Great experience! This was a very demanding treck but I would recommend it without second thougts to anyone who wants to enjoy some really amazing views. Our guide was great and so was the cook who would be always a bit ahead of us to make sure we get some delicious food in our lunch breaks in the way up/down The night at the refuge was also quite an experience with warm food and tea an the other guests and locals (guides and staff of the refuge) singing along and playing cards :)

We had a fantastic trip up to the Toubkal summit. It was really hard work, however it was made much more enjoyable by our guide Hassan, and his mule. It was just myself and my boyfriend and our guide which was fantastic. I would recommend this excursion to everyone, though would strongly advise that people take warm clothing, get lots of sleep and prepare to work hard. Thoroughly enjoyable though!!

It was my first trekking experience in the mountains and it was amazing. The trip included everything as per description on Hostelworld website. However, I would suggest not booking this trip online but waiting until arrival in Marrakech and only then book the trip from one of the many tour operators. This way you can save nearly 50 EUR per person (800 MAD per person for the tour). One thing that was not mentioned in the description is to bring your own water that is not included in the price.
