Tour Itinerary

This trekking is designed up to Poon Hill which lies into the foothill of the Annapurna massif. Poon Hill is located just 400m. above Ghorepani and offers such a brilliant view of the Himalayan giants such as the many peaks of Annapurna, the whole Machhapuchhre (Mt. fish tail) and Dhaulagiri (8167m).

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)
On the very first day of your trek you will be picked up at the airport by our representative and will be assisted to the hotel where you will be given the brief explanation of your trek and stay overnight.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)
This is the second day on which you will drive to Pokhara which is 200 km away from kathmandu. It takes about 6 hours to get to Pokhara and at the end of the day stay overnight in the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
On this day you will drive by a car to Nayapul which takes about 2 hours. On the way to Nayapul you can see the wonderful Fish Tail, Annapurna South, Annapuna II along with other mountains and the whole Pokhara valley as well. From Nayapul you start waliking to Birethanti which is the main entrance of Ghorepani trek. Then the trail climbs gently up to Tikhedhunga along the bank of stream with the beautiful scenery of natural waterfall and local country side which is amazingly mysterious. It takes about 4 hours to get to Tikhedhunga from Nayapul.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2800m)
After spending wondeful night in Tikhedhunga the trail descends a bit and crosses a river and climbs up to Ulleri. Ulleri is the biggest village of the Magar community. Then the route ascends to Banthanti, on the way from Tikhedhunga to Banthanti you can observe the picturesque view of Annapurna South and the natural green scenery of the local area. From Banthanti the route commence through a dense forest of rhododendron, magnolia, oak tree to Ghorepani which takes about 3 hours. It takes about 6 hours to reach Ghorepani from Tiikhedhunga altogether.

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2590m)
Ghorepani is a very nice village situated on top of the hill which is surrounded by the national flower of Nepal called Laligunras (rhododendron). After walking about 45 minutes you will get to Punhill whcih is famous for view point of sunrise and sunset. You can see the whole Annapurna range from Punhill and you can take magnificent pictures of the himalays and countryside. From Ghorepani the route slowly climbs up to Deurali through rhododendron forest which takes about 2 hours. After that the trail descends down to Banthanti where few lodges are available and you can stop for a lunch. Then the trail continues to Tadapani and it takes about 5 hours to get to Tadapani altogether.

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m)
Tadapani is a small village where few lodges are available and which is covered by a jungle. You can see the cultural dances organized by local people. On the other hand you can take a picure of langur along with Annapurna south,Hiunchuli, Machhapuchrre (fishtail). Then the trail descends constantly to Gandruk through a dense green forest with the lovely view of various natural flowers. It takes about 4 hours from Tadapani to Ghandruk.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Nayapul (1070m)
Ghandruk is a huge and culturally rich village especially inhabitated by Gurung community. Here you can see the old Gurung's museum and mainly the lovely scenery of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fish tail) and the natural beauty. After that the trail descends down to Nayapul which takes about 4hours.From Nayapul you will drive by a car to Pokhara and stay overnight.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara remembering the wonderful moments of the trek
