Culture Tour/Trekking in Manaslu Area, Nepal
About 7000 people reside in Manaslu area and their main occupation is agriculture, animal husbandry and seasonal migration for trade and labor during winter months. Due to the prolonged isolation from contact with urban civilization, the major ethnic groups the Gurung (Bhotiyas) still have a strong sense of attachment towards their traditional Tibetan cultural heritage.
Itinerary with tour explanation:
Day 1: Arrival in Nepal (Kathmandu Airport)
Pick up from airport, rest in hotel. Evening visit to Monkey Temple lies on the hilltop only a kilometer far from Thamel for Kathmandu evening Valley view.
Day 2: Whole day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
After breakfast you have sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley. The Valley is cradle of Nepali culture and civilization is the largest valley in the Midlands and certainly the most beautiful. There are seven UNESCO recognized World Heritage Sites within 20 kms. Those are: Swayambhu Nath Stupa, Boudha Nath, Bhaktapur City, Changu Narayan Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. Today we arrange you to visit all above Cultural Center. Over night in hotel.
Day 3 21: Main Nature Tour
Manaslu, a mountainous region in north Gorkha district, has a fragile natural and cultural environment. Its 1663 sq. km. Area is expanded in 7 Village Development Committees and inhabited by 9061 people. This area provides habitat for more than 2000 species of plants in 19 forest types of which 50 are economically important species. This area also provides home for 33 species of mammals, 110 species of birds, 4 species of amphibians, about 8 species of reptiles and many non-flowering plants and insects. In order to conserve the unique environment and rich biodiversity, Manaslu area is included in the protected area system.
Gorkha is situated 131 km west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 1135m. north of the Kathmandu Pokhara Highway at Abu Khaireni. From Gorkha to Pokhara there is a comfortable six or seven night trek for all types of trekkers through the land of the famous Gorkha warriors. Gorkha is the historic town and the birthplace of King Prithbi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal. It is also the ancestral home of the Shah kings of Nepal. This spot is situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. There is an ancient palace to see and the temple of Gorkhanath. From the top of the hill above the Gorkha Palace and from a saddle east of the Bazaar, a spectacular view of Manaslu and Himalchuli peaks are possible.

Day 22: Rest and souvenir shopping
Today you will spend your last day of this trip in Nepal with shopping Nepali products as souvenir for your family and friends. If necessary guide is happy to help you for shopping.
Day 23: Drive back to KTM Intl Airport for onward flight.
In the morning, after breakfast our airport representative will go Kathmandu Airport to drop you there. Your trip in Nepal (Culture Tour in Manaslu Area) is completed!
