Trekking Tour Around Dhaulagiri Area, Nepal
Dhaulagiri Round is a tough trek around 3 weeks. Starting from Pokhara - a verdant valley amidst cultivated fields, and passes through the rhododendron and alpine forests and meadows with high passes, hot spring, waterfall, and plenty of stunning scenery. This trek avoids the main trail and therefore is quite strenuous and demanding. The massive peak of Dhaulagiri (8167m) is very attractive. It is one of the eight highest peaks in the world, overshadowing the Kali Gandaki River that flows in between the Annapurna massif and the awesome peaks.
Itinerary with tour explanation:
Day 1: Arrival in Nepal (Kathmandu Airport)
Pick up from airport, rest in hotel. Evening visit to Monkey Temple lies on the hilltop only a kilometer far from Thamel for Kathmandu evening Valley view.
Day 2: Whole day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.
After breakfast you have sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley. The Valley is cradle of Nepali culture and civilization is the largest valley in the Midlands and certainly the most beautiful. There are seven UNESCO recognized World Heritage Sites within 20 km. Those are: Swayambhu Nath Stupa, Boudha Nath, Bhaktapur City, Changu Narayan Temple, Pashupati Nath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. Today we arrange you to visit all above Cultural Center. Over night in hotel.
Day 3: Kathmandu –Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara – Baglung – Chuthhreni.
Day 5: Chuthreni – Darbang.
Day 6: Darbang – Takum.
Day 7: Takum – Mudi.
Day 8: Mudi – Bagara.
Day 9: Rest in Bagara.
Day 10: Bagara – Dovan.
Day 11: Dovan – Upper Vungeni.
Day 12: Upper Vungeni –Rangechahara.
Day 13: Rangechahara – Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Day 14: Dhaulagiri Base Camp Rest for acclimatization.
Day 15: Dhaulagiri BC. – Hidden Valley
Day 16: Explore mountains around there!
Day 17: Headen Valley – Yak Kharka
Day 18: Yak Kharka - Jomsom
Day 19: Jomsom - Marpha
Day 20: Marpha – Tukuche
Day 21: Tukuche – Kalopani
Day 22: Kalopani - Tatopani
Day 23: Rest in Tatopani.
Day 24: Tatopani – Ghorepani.
Day 25: Ghorepani – Ghandrung.
Day 26: Ghandrung – Pokhara.
Day 27: Pokhara – Kathmandu.
Day 28: Rest and souvenir shopping
Today you will spend your last day of this trip in Nepal with shopping Nepali products as souvenir for your family and friends. If necessary guide us happy to help you for shopping.
Day 29: Drive back to KTM Int’l Airport for onward flight.
