Tour Itinerary

Day 1 —

Board flight to Amsterdam, Holland

Day 2 —

Arrive in Amsterdam and meet your IHB tour coordinators. They'll get you to your hostel in the Red Light District , via train and walking. Join the entire IHB group for a Welcome Breakfast @ Barney's Coffee shop, and then you're ready to start the day. It's your first day in Amsterdam, so relax, take your time, and get to know the place. Spend the day/evening at Cafe De Jaren or Cafe Brandon, talking to the locals, napping, or trying new things. But always remember to be aware and be responsible. At night, check out one of Amsterdam's many dance clubs.

Day 3 —

Spend the day in the Museum plein and Vondelpark. Tour the Heineken Experience (free beer!) and check out the nearby Van Gogh museum or the Rijksmueum. While away the evening @ Vondelpark's Openlucht theater which offers free outdoor concerts.

Day 4 —

Rent a bike and take a self-guided tour of Amsterdam, past all the gorgeous canal rings, historical sights, and various architectural feats. Picnic @ the public garden-courtyard, Begijnhof and Spui, before stopping at the Anne Frank House (so you can tell your parents something about your tirp.) In the evening, check out the tiny, 300-year-old bar, Wijnand Fockink, for over 60 different flavors of fockink (Dutch gin).

Day 5 —

If you're looking for more tourist things to do, there's always the Museum Het Rembrandt or NEMO (New Metropolis), the coolest science museum ever. Have another picnic lunch at the nearby Hortus Botanicus and take a tour of the 600 plant species dwelling within. Otherwise, just spend your time chilling somewhere (anywhere) and making new friends, Continue relaxing into the night at the Bourbon Street Jazz and Blues Club, where you can listen to a great selection of live blues, rock, soul, and funk bands.

Day 6 —

It's your last day in Amsterdam, so live it up. If you haven't already done so, wander the Red Light District. You'll come across Cannabis College, where you can learn everything you've ever wanted to know about marijuana, and the Amsterdam Sex Museum , which is exactly what it sounds like. Then return to your favorite coffee shop one last time and pack it all in.

Day 7 —

Board your flight back home.
