This is an ideal trekking for people who would like to experience and know something different,like the two-floor impressive construction unique in this region , and no less beautiful highlands of Lima reaching 3400 msnm and also to have the possibility to sight the majestic flight of the Condor. Rupac is an awesome and valuable place that makes everyone who visits it to change their vision of things due to its beauty and wisdom.

Trekking Rupac 2 Days

Program

First Day:

Departure from Lima at 05:00 am heading to Huaral (1h �) northeast of Lima, upon arrival we make a brief stop to appreciate this booming northern city and then continue to the picturesque town of La Florida, our place to start our trekking, here we arrange our luggage that will be taken by muleteers all the way to Rupac.

This route will climb up a dirt road which is used by locals, after 3 hours we arrive to Pampas. Pampas is called �The Ghost Town� as there is no inhabitants, every house , school and shop is closed. This will be a perfect time to relax, take pictures, have lunch and rest before continuing on to the City of Fire.

Thirty minutes later we follow upward the path that becomes tough because of the adjoining narrow road and depth , and after three and a half hours later we found the ruins of Marco Kullpi, minutes later we arrive to Rupac.

The visitors marvel when they watch this buildings with such a superb architecture , now time is running out so we look for the esplanade outside the archaeological site to build our tents and prepare food for dinner.

Second Day:

At 06:00 am we wake up ,have breakfast and proceed to break camp , leaving everything ready for our departure.

All set we head to visit Rupac , city that was in the hands of civilization Atavillos (1100- 1400 AD), a fortress built in such a perfect location from which you could see the valley and had complete control of the place.

After exploring the two-floor buildings called chullpis and its funerary deposits, we started the descent to La Florida (2 hrs approx), where we can stare at the majestic Condor overflying the valley and Rupac.

Upon we get to La Florida, we boarded our transport to Lima, stopping previously for lunch as a closure of such a wonderful adventure.
